Twin Air air filters are the choice of more world and national motocross champions than all other air filters combined. Over the last 40 years, Twin Air has provided some of the greatest names in the sport with products, including Ricky Carmichael, Stefan Everts, Jeremy McGrath, Kevin Windham and Travis Pastrana, and is now an Original Equipment Manufacturer for brands including KTM and Sherco.
The 2013 Lites class racing season was a clean sweep for Twin Air-sponsored teams, with Ken Roczen, Wil Hahn and Eli Tomac winning the 250 championship titles. Among its sponsored teams in the USA in 2014 are Honda Muscle Milk, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki and Red Bull KTM Racing, and it is the official Air Filter Supplier to the FIM World Championship and Motocross of Nations.
When Twin Air was first launched, stock paper air filters were a big problem for the engine, lasting only 30 minutes in the sand dunes of Holland. Twin Air found the solution by producing special laminated washable foam air filters and filter accessories, which, when treated with the right filter oil, prevented dirt, grime, sand and water entering the carburettor.
Every filter in the current range is constructed from two layers of open-pore foam that are bonded together to provide maximum filtration and superior airflow, with a thick, soft-foam sealing ring acting as a breathable gasket. And riders don’t have to worry about their filter falling apart either – all models are constructed using an exclusive adhesive that is unaffected by repeated cleanings.
