School Aid 4 Africa is the sister charity of Touch Africa, a charity supporting junior and secondary schools in the impoverished Wild Coast area of the Transkei in South Africa. This area is recorded as being the worst place in the world to be a child. We believe education is the foundation that will allow the children of the area to have better lives and allow the great initiatives run by charities far larger than this one to take hold and flourish.

The simple aim is to ‘Make school a better place than home’ by investing in infrastructure and technology, in order to offer opportunities to children in rural communities that are starved of resources. School Aid 4 Africa’s methods have proven successful and already they are changing the lives of 1000′s of children.
 The charity is run by volunteers so the support of its fundraisers reaches its target with little or no deduction. 
Funds are generated by holding events under the Ride4Change Initiative that involve people undertaken amazing challenges far outside their comfort zone. These participants witness the plight of the children 1st hand and very often go on supporting for years.

“Lara and Bry are going to take part in our Ride4Change “Touch Africa Enduro” being run on 20th September 2013. They will be flown out of Heathrow to East Africa on the Eastern Cape via Johannesburg. On arrival they will be met by our team and be transported to the famous “Morgan’s Bay” on the Wild Coast to start the adventure. The group of 20+ riders will be grouped into teams and they will ride off on their trusty Honda CRF230 motorcycles across the Transkei being led by local guides. Their route will avoid using any roads and take them through the lands populated by the Xhosa tribes and on into the Zulu Natal. The Challenge will involve 8 days hard riding. The distance covered each day will vary according to technical difficulty and how the group responds to some of the “Tasks” set for them. Along the way they will meet the very children their funds are going to help. This I promise will change every rider.” – Richard Cook, founder of School Aid 4 Africa

We will have an experienced support team in South Africa that has been running these events since 2006. We will run with Leaders, Medics, Mechanics and Tail Riders (Sweeps)… to make sure along with all the laughter and tear, we stay safe!
