John Adamson showed his raw speed, piloting his Team AAA motocross bike at the third round of the British Youth Nationals, held at Fat Cats Moto Park near Doncaster over the weekend.

Timed practice began on Saturday morning with John powering to a best ever fifth place since moving up to the MX2 class despite only having two timed laps due to a crash.

Sixteen year old John did not get any luck in the first four of his five races with him crashing out and having to work through the field for tenth, thirteenth, nineteenth and another tenth place. The crash which left him in nineteenth also left him with a gashed arm and severe bruising to his leg. Unable to use his damaged leg for support in the corners, John decided just to try and finish his last race in one piece. This he did, coming home in a superb sixth place with his points tally giving him tenth overall.

John’s dad and mechanic who prepares John’s bikes at his shop, AAA Motorcycles, on Abercorn St Paisley was absolutely delighted with his son’s performance saying “John has now shown that he has the speed to compete at the highest level in only his first year on the big bikes”. “The weekend has been a bit of a disaster with the amount of crashes so hopefully things will go better next time”.
