Round 5 Redbull Nationals made its return to Canada Heights at the weekend. The weather was a lot kinder to all this time around however a big 20minute downfall on Sunday caused havoc for several races.
Despite other national events happing on the same weekend, the turn out of many top riders made all the groups very exciting to watch. The Powerband Racing Team had another successful weekend starting in 65cc group with Christopher Mills leading his team mate Tom Grimshaw home for 1st & 2nd Overall. With plenty of dog fighting between the two boys over the weekend, it was race 5 which proved to be the toughest as both boys crashed in the tricky conditions. They both charge back to 6th&7th respectively in that race.
SW 85cc Class Rider George Grigg Pettitt had a great weekend with some very good rides to finish 4th overall. George had some great rides over the 5 moto’s which has hoisted him up the championship table by several place and is currently lying 4th in the table.
Next stop for Powerband Racing is Redbull International, Mill Holland 11th & 12th August.
