The JAR Honda team will have something of a new look structure at this weekend’s Ken Hall Trophy Race. The International event marks the introduction of young South African David Goosen into the JAR Honda team in what will be his first competitive race abroad the CRF250R machine. 18 year old Goosen had a brief ride on the team’s machine at the weekend, but because of rain, the event was cancelled after one race.

Ken Hall is Europe’s longest running International event and takes place at Langrish, Hampshire. The invitation only event features some of the best motocross riders on the planet, both present and past. The circuit is one of the most beautiful in the country with its natural terrain and hard surfaces should produce close bar banging action.

Thomas Fenwick, who previously rode for the JAR by Site Sealants Honda team in the Maxxis British Motocross had parted company with the team at the start of the month which left a space in the team for David Goosen, previously riding a private Suzuki in the same championship.

Dennis Amor – Team Manager

‘’ Obviously it was not ideal losing Thomas halfway through the season but there was some ongoing issues that we were unable to resolve. I would like to thank Thomas for his efforts and wish him all the best in the future. JAR Honda was born to help young talent so when David Goosen contacted us, it was natural to give him a run on our machinery. I have been impressed with his work ethic and this weekend should be good for him to have a proper go on the CRF250R. I would also like to thank all our loyal sponsors this season.’’

David Goosen – Rider

‘’ Firstly I would like to thank the team for this opportunity to race the remainder of the season on Honda machinery. It is a much better package than I have been used to, and I am getting the suspension dialled in better every time I ride. At the Maxxis British Championship here, I scored my best result of 8th so I really hope that I can have a good few races, and build on that. I would call Langrish my home circuit as it is close to where I am based, and it is definitely one of my favourites, so to say that I am excited would be an understatement.’’
