Hot on the heels of the recent high profile signing of Brad Anderson, Maxxis Kawasaki by LPE have added two more riders for 2013 and announced their intention to concentrate 100% on the MX1 class.
Rising talent Dorren Coutts has just signed for the team and, alongside incumbent, Connor Walkley – who moves from the KX250F to the biggest KX in the new season – the team have a formidable line up as driving force, Steve James, explains.
“With so much interest and speculation from the cream of the crop rider wise, we felt it was time to reflect and decide how to push forward with our motocross ambitions. Taking into account the considerable support of Maxxis and Kawasaki Motors UK, we opted to concentrate solely on the MX1 class with a strike force of three hugely talented riders.”
Refocusing the Lincolnshire based team as the company’s official MX1 entry for 2013, Ross Burridge of Kawasaki Motors UK is optimistic of success saying;
“Ando is a certified race winner and will work well alongside Dorren who we know was on the wish list of a few major teams for next year. Added to that, I think the both of them will mentor Connor who has risen successfully through the Team Green ranks and may well be one of the dark horses in MX1 next year”.
Already working on machine development as part of a rigorous pre-season testing regime, the riders will all be making appearances on the Kawasaki stand at the Dirt Bike Show which opens on Thursday 1 November at Stonleigh Park, Warwickshire.
