It’s often said that the best is saved until last. And as far as the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship is concerned that might just be the case.
With just two days of the 2012 BSEC series remaining the final stop of the championship heads to the superb Canada Heights venue in Swanley, Kent on June 16/17. With the Elite, Under 23 and Expert championship to be decided the series’ final event promises to be a cracker.
The event also offers those that haven’t yet tried their hand at sprint enduro racing a not to be missed chance to do so. With a number of both enduro and motocross racers having given the championship a ‘one-off’ go this year, organisers GMC Events are hopeful that getting to race at Canada Heights will in part persuade a few more riders to try their hand at the series.
“As the first ever round of the BSEC series to take place at Canada Heights there’ll be a lot of riders that won’t have tried enduro sprint racing before, “explains GMC Events’ Jonty Edmunds. “But we’d like to make riders aware that you don’t have to have signed up for the entire series to compete at the Canada Heights final – there are places available in all classes.
“Although sprint enduro style racing is different to what most motocross and enduro riders who’ll have raced at Canada Heights before will be used to, it really is a simply and enjoyable format. And with all of the motocross track as well as woodland and grass track areas being used in the course, it promises to be a great final round to the series.”
Catering for riders of all abilities, classes include Elite, Under 23, Under 19, Expert, 125cc Youth Cup, Clubman and Women. Rider must be 15 years of age to compete.
