Mel will be back on the podium at Desertmartin we're sure of it

This weekend the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship heads across the Irish Sea to the superb Desertmartin Circuit in Northern Ireland for Round 5 of the Championship. The Desertmartin round marks the start to the second half of a very exciting season.

The trip to Desertmartin is always a pleasant one for many of the English based teams as the fantastic former Grand Prix sand circuit always produced some of the best racing on the calendar last season.

After four rounds of the Championship, Elliott Banks Browne currently leads the MX2 class ahead of Mel Pocock. The Monster Energy Bike It Yamaha rider had a day to forget at Milton, dropping 34 points. Banks Browne on the HM Plant KTM UK will be looking to post yet more strong results in front of his team’s home fans. Third place in the MX2 championship is currently held by Neville Bradshaw on the Evo Tech Stevens Honda who will be looking to close the gap on front two. Bradshaw will have one eye over his shoulder as French youngster Steven Lenoir looks to close the gap on his Emberson RFX Yamaha along with Bryan Mackenzie who is just 2 more points behind on the Rockstar KTM.
