FMX world championship opens in Berlin

On February 13^th and 14^th the IFMXF starts with the NIGHT of the JUMPs / FIM Freestyle MX World Championship in Berlin again. At the 10years anniversary of the series the FMX World Champion will be crowned for the 5^th time and the first points of the series will be given in Germanys capital city. This year the fight for the title will be harder and the trick level will reach the maximum. In celebration of the 10years anniversary of the NIGHT of the JUMPs the crowd in Berlin will see the Race-and-Style contest and a double backflip on the Minibike for the first time ever.

The NIGHT of the JUMPs is the oldest and largest international Freestyle MX series in the world. In its unique mixture, it combines international top-class sport (FIM Freestyle MX World Championship) with classical show elements such as pyro- and lighting technology.

2001 the first NIGHT of the JUMPs ever took place. In 10 years the series developed to the sports measure of all things in Freestyle Motocross. Only here World Champions are crowned and superstars born, who will be celebrated all over the world and invited to nearly every show contest around the globe. We can be surprised which FMX idols will be born out of the NIGHT of the JUMPs this year. After World Champs like Mat Rebeaud (SUI ´06), Ailo Gaup (NOR ´07) and Remi Bizouard (FRA ´08 and ´09) even more riders will try to win the title in 2010.

In 2010 a group of the world’s best riders out of 10 nations will be invited to the FIM Freestyle MX World Championship contests. This will ensure a even more spectacular fight for the title. FMX heroes like Remi Bizouard (FRA), Libor Podmol (CZE), Jose Miralles (ESP), Brody Wilson (USA), Alastair Sayer (BOT), Fabian Bauersachs (GER), Massimo Bianconcini (ITA), Rob Adelberg (AUS) will battle in Berlin with hard flip combos for the first World Championship points of the season. The German riders Hannes Ackermann and Freddy Peters will complete the field of riders. And 11-year old Luc Ackermann, youngest German FMX rider, will show some tricks on the NIGHT of the JUMPs dirt. Berlin has never seen more Freestyle!
