Great start for Team Powerband Racing
Round 1 of the BYMX kick off at Milton Park at the weekend with a great start to the national season. Heavy rain in the week leading up to the event, left the track in great condition but very tricky at the same time as long slots & deep ruts made riding very difficult for the smaller bikes.
Powerband 65cc team riders Christopher Mills & Tom Grimshaw started there championship very well with Christopher taking the overall win with a 2,1,1,1, 2 & Tom claiming 3rd overall with a 3,12,2,3,1. score card. Both boys put on a great show alongside Powerband supported rider Gary Ashley who was 2nd Overall at the weekend.
SW 85cc rider George Grigg Pettitt scored a solid 5th overall with a 5,3,9,10,4 score card in one of the most competitive classes which saw a lot of changes throughout each day racing.
Next event for the Powertband Racing Team is this coming weekend, which is Round 1 Redbull Nationals Landrake Cornwall.
