We managed to catch up with British Masters Championship leader Dan Thornhill, who raced at Milton Malsor the weekend. Here’s what went on and what his plans are for the next couple of weeks…
MOTO – You raced Milton Malsor the weekend, how did it go?
“Yes I raced at Milton Malsor for the 5th round of the British Masters Championship. My weekend went really well winning 4 out of 5 races and finnishing 2nd in the other race coming away with the overall victory”.
MOTO – How’re you doing in the championship at the moment?
“At the moment I am leading the championship with two rounds to go which I’m really happy about”.
MOTO – What did you think of the track, was it your style of track?
“I really enjoyed riding the track at Milton with all of the jumps. I would’nt have said the track was the best kind to suit my riding style but the conditions did. Where the organisers waterd the track over night there were lots of ruts and narley bumps which I found helped me more with my riding style”.
MOTO – Wheres your next big event?
“I think my next big event is the next round of the British Masters at Hawkstone Park”.
MOTO – What are your plans from now until Hawkestone?
“My plans from now until Hawstone are to keep riding the bike every weekend to keep bike fit and also with my training, is too keep in my routine and try to push myself a little bit harder to make sure i am ready for the tough track at Hawkstone”.
MOTO – How you finding the Suzuki and the new team Suzuki GB?
“I am finding the Suzuki great. I raced the bikes all last year and i seem to feel more at home on the bike. The team is also great, racing in a good atmosphere with no pressure”.
