Everyone has to have a transponder now to race that fits to your fork leg just behind the front number board. It’s a really good piece of technology giving you lap times, best lap average speed and best of all no lap scoring for Mum.
But if not fitted right can cause a big problem. The transponder is fitted to a bracket which fits to the fork leg with cable ties. The problem is that this can spin around and lock up the handle bars against your little black electric box causing a crash.
The best thing to do is tear a piece of duck tape off enough to wrap around the transponder, bracket and fork leg when fitted to the bike. Then tear the duck tape in half and wrap around the whole thing to hold it firmly in place.
