This weekend July 22nd the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championship kicks back in to action after a lapse of five weeks with the series making its second visit in to Cornwall for round 7 at Fraddon Moto Parc, Nr Newquay.
Things are really starting to take shape in all classes as we have Jamie Skuse from Wiltshire now leading the Experts after a hat trick of wins on home soil at the last round at Marshfield where he overtook the early Championship leader Luke Hill who now has a 23 points deficit to make up. As usual there is a fair entry in the Experts which will include the likes of Luke Mellows, Darren Shears, Luke Blanchard, Jackson Evans, Jake Shipton, Kelvin Townsend and local Cornishman Sam Chapman from Camelford who will have plenty of local support plus many others.
In the Tyremarks Junior Championship its Cornishman Ryan Blee from Liskeard who goes in to rd 7 with a fair cushion in the Championship and he also will have plenty of local support as he will be looking to increase that lead, as will fellow Cornishman Jason Fraser from Truro who leads the Over 35 Championship, but its only by 22 points, so things could all change. Other riders to watch out for will be the likes of Mark Wilde, Jon Lock, Keith Hanson, Rob Lewis, Steve Locke plus the three Cornishman Justin & Johnny Hawkins from St Austell and Mark Roberts from Redruth plus many more.
Fraddon Moto Parc is situated just off the A30 South of Bodmin and will be signposted from the MacDonald’s Restaurant with the first race at 10-15. There are still spaces available in all classes, so if you fancy a ride give Mel Martin a call on 01626 365335
