KTM’s ALL NEW 250F

10:26AM Mon, 13th February 2012

KTM has unveiled an all-new 250F that’s heavily based on the firm’s 350. It uses a modified version of the 350 frame and bottom end of its engine, with a 250 cylinder and head.
All the new 2012 factory KTMs share the new bodywork of the 450 that’s being raced by Ryan Dungey in the U.S. Supercross series.

The new 250, 350 and 450 will be on sale as production versions in the summer. KTM UK have already been testing a prototype of the 250 in Britain.

The new 250F, as well as the new 350 and 450 factory machines, were put through their paces by the KTM team of Jeffrey Herlings, Jeremy Van Horebeek, Jordi Tixier and Tony Cairoli in Sardinia.
Max Nagl was there but didn’t ride as he had an operation on his back a few weeks ago. He’s not likely to be fir by the first GP.

Team manager Stefan Everts rode the new 450 in Sardinia but says he’s too old and not fit enough to race it in Max’s place!

Full feature can be seen in the next issue of Moto Magazine out on March 9th
