Mallory Motocross is starting a new era in its life from today as a new partnership has been formed to turn the track around and make a safe, enjoyable facility for all abilities. The track has been the home of the British GP in 2008/2009 and has hosted rounds of the Maxxis British championships and British Masters series. Despite having held prestigious events at the track it has at times struggled with its reputation as a weekly practice track.
The new partnership has been thought up to revamp the track and turn around its negative areas. There will be track changes in time but the main things on the agenda are to get the track tidy and safe for riders and spectators to enjoy the sport. As well as changes to track layout, there will be a full overhaul of the drainage putting in new pipes and ditches to allow the track to run all year round at its best.
Other improvements and changes at the track will be the introduction of the new website, improved advertising and a host of new services. There are also slots available for private days & corporate activities and scope to open the track more days for practice if people get behind us boost numbers.
Mallory is certainly one place looking up and will be improving at a rapid pace approaching the end of the season as work has already begun. We will next be open Sunday 12th August for SOLO riders only and Wednesday 15th also. Check out the website to follow our progress at the track and to catch up on all the latest news.
We hope to see you at the track shortly.
