Are you missing your motocross bike?

uk news1 150x100 Are you missing your motocross bike?

Then hopefully these guys at www.missingmx.co.uk can help.

So who are missingmx?
“It came about as Ant’s brother had his KX85 taken from his garage, and he was lucky enough to get it back. So we spoke and came up with the idea that we would like to do this for more people, or at least try, as there is no one currently doing so. The idea just kept on growing and we both keep coming up with ideas to constantly make is better and more useful for fellow motocross riders.”

How does it all work and what do users get out of it?
“The websites main purpose is a stolen motocross bike register. At the moment there is not really good way to check if a bike has been stolen before you buy. We are aiming to offer a free service for people to check if a bike is registered as stolen before they buy. At the moment we hardly have any bikes, but as soon as the site has 50 bikes we will invest more time, effort and money into it than we are doing at the moment. We have made a few contacts and links but we’re still waiting for a few things to fall into place. As you can understand, we only have a minor percentage of the bikes that have been stolen on the register. When we reach 50 bikes we will create stolen bike a search engine, this way people can check bikes they think are suspicious. Second hand bike buyers will be able to check if a bike is registered as stolen on the site before they buy. Ideally, eventually – missingmx will be the first thing second hand bike buyers check before they buy, either because everyone in the sport will know about the site, or people new to the sport will have been recommended buy someone in the sport to look. We do understand that not every single bike that has been stolen will be registered but we are bound to help plenty of people, and hinder the people stealing the bikes!”

Good luck chaps.
