Nicolas Aubin to stay with Buildbase Honda

Following a slow start to the 2012 UK motocross season, French racer Nico` Aubin has now gathered momentum and is regularly achieving the results we all know he is capable of. We have two National races left on this year`s calendar and Nico` will be racing the Buildbase Honda CRF450 in the MX1 class in both.

Honda UK and Buildbase Honda are delighted Nico` will be staying with the team for 2013, competing on Honda`s flagship, all-new 2013 CRF450 and he will be focussing next year solely on winning everything in sight in the MX1 class.

AUBIN – “I feel very comfortable with the Buildbase Honda team here in the UK. We have found a routine on and off the track which suits us both and I am really looking forward to racing in the UK next year. There have been a lot of changes this year, not only between 250 and 450 bikes, but also in living arrangements and practicing and training which is never easy, but it is all sorted out now.

The new CRF450 is a fantastic bike and I will be working and training hard with the team over the winter to make sure everything is 100% for the start of the 2013 season”.

DAVE THORPE – “I think re-signing Nico` is great for us as a team, for Honda UK and for UK motocross as a whole. Nico`s riding style is just what the sport needs right now. He is a really nice guy and easy to chat to in the paddock and of course he is exciting and flamboyant on a bike and a pleasure to watch. Having worked with him for a season, I know he is capable of being at the front of the field and on the new Honda CRF450 I am sure this will be a winning combination”.

The two remaining UK National events are this weekend at Culham, Oxfordshire for the final round of the Red Bull pro Nationals and at Little Silver, Exeter, Devon for the final round of the Maxxis ACU British Championship
