One more race for BYMX series

The ACU Motocross Committee has decided to give its riders better value for money by adding an additional race for all classes giving riders five races instead of four.

The first round of the British Youth Motocross Championship will take place on the 28th – 29th March at Mildenhall promoted by the CJSC club. Both the club and ACU are working hard to ensure that the 2009 youth season starts with a bang.

Registrations for the 2009 British Youth Motocross Championships have closed for three of the five classes which all have full line ups. There are still a few places left in the 65cc class and the adult junior championship. Anyone interested in racing in these classes need to get their entry in soon as there has been an extension to the closing date 2nd March.

The 65cc class has gained support from Cobra, the small motocross bike specialist manufacturers. Cobra has offered a sponsored ride to the 2009 series winner for 2010.

There are some minor changes to the new British Junior Clubman Motocross Championship it has been decided to add a National expert class which will run in conjunction with the Junior class.

Strict rules apply with regard to registering or entering for this series. No riders registered in the 2009 Maxxis series or points scorers in 2008 or 2009, plus any top 20 points scorers from the British Under 21 and Open series in 2008 or 2009.
