Ray Rowson is back but may sit out Lyng?

Buildbase CCM Racing’s Ray Rowson made a welcome return to racing this Sunday at Landrake in the British Masters Championship.
After a crash way back in pre-season, the talented 20 year old has been on the stuck on the sidelines with a serious knee injury and then when he was finally fit enough to start riding again another crash during a practice session resulted in a broken wrist and a few more weeks off the bike but finally 9 months since he last lined up on a start gate, he is back and we caught up with him to for a quick chat at the end of a very tough two races.

MOTO – Ray, how does it feel to be back racing again?

“It’s good to be back but to be honest I’m not happy with how I’ve rode here today, I don’t feel that I rode as well as what I hoped and maybe should have. I had a 5th in race 1, which isn’t all that bad I suppose for a first race back but I was hoping for better and then in the second we had a bit of a bike problem and had to pull out.”

MOTO – Will we see you competing at Lyng next weekend for the Maxxis Championship?

“I was planning on it but after today I’m not 100% sure that I’m ready for it, so I’ll see how things go through the week. I’m happy with my fitness, that seems to be fine but I need to get that racing edge back.”

Thanks very much Ray, hopefully that’s your lot for this year and you have an injury free and successful remainder to 2009
