Rider injured at Apex

A MOTOCROSS rider was injured at a race track in Worcester this morning.

The incident occurred at Apex moto cross, junction 6 of the M5 at around 11.15am.

An ambulance, an incident support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews found a moto cross rider had been injured.

“The man, believed to be in his late 20s was treated at the scene for back injuries. He was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar and airlifted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
