Sidecar des Nations team line-up announced

The ACU is pleased to announce the riders lined up to take part in the Sidecar Des Nations; they are Stuart Brown/Luke Peters, John Lyne/Steve Kirwin and Dan Millard/Joe Millard.

The event will be held on the 26th – 27th September at Jauer in Germany. The team has a very talented line up and all competitors have World level experience as well as competing at British level.

Brown / Peters are currently leading the British Championship and holding 10th position in the World Championship. Hot on their heels is Lyne / Kirwin who are second in the British Championship. The final members of the team, Millard / Millard, are fourth in the British Championship and running top 20 in the world.

Team Manager Martin Guilford said: ”Although we may not appear to be one of the strongest teams on paper, I genuinely feel that we can improve on last years fifth position and with a measure of good luck a podium position may be possible. After enduring the sand conditions in Belgium last year, this year’s hard packed surface in Jauer should be more favourable to us when competing against the top teams from Holland, Belgium and Latvia.

“I am really happy with the team that has been selected with obvious team leaders Stuart Brown and Luke Peters who are constantly scoring top 10 world championship finishes and has won all British Championship races this season bar one. I am pleased to bring John Lyne and passenger Steve Kirwin back into the team – John brings a wealth of experience and has always excelled when competing in the team race in previous years. Backing these two crews will be the Millard Brothers who have come into excellent form within the last month or so.”

This event always attracts a good following of British fans supporting the sidecar crews and they will no doubt be out in force in Germany giving the teams all of the encouragement that they need. For the first time they will be able to get behind the British Quad team at the same event ensuring that they will get their monies worth.
