Just like we mentioned in our preview of the GP of Bastogne, you just can’t count out Tony Cairoli from going 1-1.
The Italian legend was certainly packing a punch in Belgium with two commanding wins on the brand new circuit in Bastogne.
“I’m happy about this victory here in Belgium. I really wanted to strike the highest step on the podium and I did it. It was important, not only for the victory itself but even to gain some points on the ranking. I knew I had to have a great start and I managed it pretty well. In the first game everything went smoothly, I kicked off first and put a gap on the competitors to then manage the advantage. In the second game I was focused on not making any mistakes and once i took the leadership of the race I could take some advantage on Desalle.”
