Lincolnshire’s rock pop band Stranded are gearing up for another awesome night of entertainment with at the prestigious Grand Prix of Great Britain on the 29th May 2009 at Mallory Park.

The band, which formed in 2003, has an electric set of diverse covers with Stranded’s very own added edge, and the group is hoping to rock out at the World Championship race to entertain the Friday night fans and campers. With inspiration from a range of genres including Guns ‘n’ Roses, Nena, Bryan Adams, Fall out boy, Queen, Chuck Berry and many many more, this night is certainly not one to be missed.

Stranded is made up of five talented members in the form of lead vocalist Ceri Royston-German, lead guitarist Joe Dick, rhythm guitarist James Vines, bassist Josh Ellis and Jen Dick on drums. The band has entertained hundreds of people in and out of Lincolnshire at festivals, bars, pubs, clubs and corporate events, but the British Motocross Grand Prix is expected to be one of the highlights of this year.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural Grand Prix event at Mallory promoters, RHL Activities Limited, have set out this year to ensure that Leicestershire can once again be proud to host a truly world class event.

This year’s Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain will once again see some of the very best racers on the planet battle it out in some high-adrenalin, action-filled races around the purpose-built Mallory Park motocross track.

In addition to an already action packed race programme, Mallory Park will also play host to the British round of the World Supermoto Championship, which is a cross between motocross and road racing, with a host of talented riders representing Great Britain against a super-strong line-up.

Spectators can enjoy a weekend of getting up close to some hot racing action, as well as the many off-track family orientated activities including live music, displays, shopping and much more.
Stranded is performing on the Friday night of the Grand Prix, and will be supported by originals band, Shanty town. The exciting group, which includes two members who work in the motorsport industry, is looking forward to performing in front of the spectators at the superb World Championship event.

“We’re really looking forward to this gig at Mallory Park, especially as some of the band members have a great interest in racing,” said Lead Guitarist, Joe Dick.

“It’s difficult for us to do a huge amount of events, as Jen and I work away many weekends of the year. The band is up for a really good night of entertainment and we’re very lucky to be able to perform at some great events like the Grand Prix. It should be a great night,” concluded the motorsport photographer.

Stranded is definitely not to be missed so get your dancing shoes on and head down to the British Motocross Grand Prix.
