The ACU Track Racing Committee is pleased to announce that this year’s British Pre 75 Upright Championship will be hosted by the Danebury MCC on the 21st October. Following the unfortunate cancellation of the Pickering event earlier this month the ACU have been in discussions with a number of possible organisers about rearranging the event. The Horsforth Motor Club managed to stage two major trials championship over the weekend at Parkwood Offroad Centre at Tong where the Youth Class C and D and the Ladies and Girls championship were decided. On Sunday the Club replanned many parts of the course in readiness for the final event in the British Ladies and Girls Championship. Isle of Wight multi champion Becky Cook won the day for Beta UK in what was a final section effort from Emma Bristow. Class A was dominated by Nikita Smith Silsden’s Danielle Whitham did not compete due to an injury. Robin and Sam Luscombe took another major step towards winning their fourteenth British sidecar trials championship. The Cullingworth father and son combination got their Beta outfit round the Pateley Bridge trials course into a close and secure second place behind Bristol former champions Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes and that puts a theoretical twenty two clear of the field with just the Peak Trial to run next month…..

The penultimate round of the Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Race Club Championship, on Sunday 16th September, had an additional sparkle last weekend with several National Superstock and Grand Prix stars mixing it with the regular competitors. The ISDE has started to get into gear here in Germany . The event is based at the famous Sachsenring race circuit, near Chemnitz . The circuit, home to FI and World Championship M/Cycle events, and the impressive infrastructure of such a venue is excellent. The UK Teams consisting of ACU Trophy and Junior Trophy teams plus the 5 ACU Clubs teams in the form of Army, Wales, IOM , Witley, St Georges have all arrived safely and set about preparation and Special Test walking.
