ONE MINUTE SILENCE
Following the sad passing of former top rider and Middlewich club stalwart Gary Powell, a minute’s silence was impeccably observed before the opening race of Sunday’s AMCA Championship event at Norley, Cheshire.

TITLE DECIDER
All roads lead to Condover, near Shrewsbury this weekend as the AMCA 2-Stroke and Veterans Championships reach their final rounds, and what a thriller it promises to be!!. Incredibly after 11 hotly contested moto’s, just a few points separates the riders battling it out at the top of the two-smokers table. Currently leading the way is Kawasaki rider Adam Harris with KTM pilot Sean Eckersley in 2nd spot. It’s equally as tight in the Veterans class with with Brian Staples, Matt Ryder and Colin Conduit.
Back to the 2-Stroke aces, and Gloucestershire based Harris has won six moto’s in the series so far with Eckersley(2), Matthew Williamson(2) and Alec Everitt the other riders who have enjoyed the taste of a race win during the Championship chase. With Eckersley and Harris though so dominant in this series, current 3rd placed rider Thomas Herbert is already a number of points in arrears and can really only defend his present standing by repelling Marcus Carter and Sean Wainwright.
In the Veterans class, Staples, Ryder, Conduit, Sean Smith, Stephen Baddeley, Graham Nicklin, Simon Bracey and Paul Kroner are all mathematically in with a final top three placing. However realistically, the eventual Champion looks most likely to come from either Staples, Ryder, Conduit or Smith. Whatever happens though, three very interesting moto’s are definitely on the cards at Condover!!.So get yourself along there and watch more great AMCA Championship action unfold.

IMBA MX1 FINALE
It’s the final trip of the season this weekend for Team AMCA Great Britain in the IMBA MX1 European Championship as they travel to the superb Amriswil circuit in Switzerland. Following his fantastic 4th overall during the previous round at Bailleul in France, Lee Dunham, currently the top Brit in 5th spot ,will certainly be looking to finish his IMBA campaign in style and move up a place or two in the title table.
Of the other Brits, Michael Reynolds in his debut IMBA season has performed in style and at present holds an impressive 9th spot. With regular riders Lee Payne and Luke Meredith unable to make the trip to this finale, at the time of going to press, they will be replaced by Jamie Dobson and making his IMBA debut Chad Yarranton.
Current leader of IMBA MX1 is former triple Champion, Frank Jansen-Teitz but the German is under pressure from Belgians Vincent Collet and 2011 Champion Jelle Grade.

Classic AGM and Fixtures meeting
The 2012 AMCA Classic AGM has been arranged for the 24th November at the AMCA Office starting at 10:30am, this is where the Fixtures for 2013 will also be arranged so keep an eye on the news for the dates!

AMCA launch rider incentive scheme – GO FOR GOLD and reap the rewards!
• Free Dirt Bike Show tickets
• Beach Race entry for £23!!
The AMCA has launched an incentive scheme to benefit it’s riders who ride at the most motocross events.
The organising body has for many years had a gold / silver / bronze scheme in place which categorises riders by the number of mx events they rode at in the previous year.
For 2012 the AMCA have added a number of benefits to give real value to the scheme.
To achieve gold status riders will have had to take part in 27 events in the 2012 season, when they apply for a licence the following year it will be a ‘gold’ licence.
Despite the recent heavy rain there are still plenty of opportunities to enter AMCA events and make sure you qualify for these great offers.
This year to encourage you to strive for gold AMCA are offering all riders who achieve Gold status this season by 14th October a FREE ticket to the 2012 Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh!
In addition, they can also enter the fabulous SKEGNESS Beach Race on 17th / 18th November for the standard AMCA entry fee of £23!! A massive potential saving of £77!!
TWO EXCELLENT REASONS for entering as many events as possible between now and 14th October!
To achieve gold status you need to have competed at 27 motocross events between the 1st February and 14th October 2012, all AMCA authorised MX events qualify.
Gold status riders also benefit the following season by receiving preferential entry into oversubscribed events or classes.
On the 15th October we will contact via text and email all those who have qualified with details of how they can claim the above offers.
The AMCA Chairman Terry King said ‘we want to reward our most loyal riders and these two benefits offer significant savings for those riders who take part in the most events’.
In the meantime, good luck and enjoy the rest of the 2012 AMCA season – Go for Gold!!
