The 2012 Central Group Championships have now been concluded despite the hostile weather over the Championship events.
The trophy presentation will be held at Burntwood’s meeting at Branston on 29th July between the end of practice and the start of the first race.
The trophies which are very impressive will hopefully be presented by a top AMCA MX1 Championship rider.
All trophy winners, plus all Inter Juniors who have ridden in the Championship, have been notified.
A special thank you to Jason Warrilow of J.W. Racing for sponsoring the trophies for all the Inters who rode in the Championship but did not make the top three.

Walsall Trials – Brook Farm 21/22 July
The Walsall Club is running the final round of the Pete Flower Memorial Summer Championship trial at Brook Farm on 21/22 July. Pete was a founder member of the Acorns Club and inaugurated the Exmoor 2 day trial which has been run for 32 years at Shallowford Farm.

The Pete Flower Memorial Trophy will be presented after the Exmoor trial and is won by the AMCA rider from any class who has scored the most points over all the rounds, so consistency is the key. Sadly, this year, many riders have not ridden both days at each venue so leaving the way open for Bruce Bolton (non expert) to hold a commanding lead. John Botterill (Clubman) retired from the first two rounds when his friend and travelling companion, Neil Swann, crashed and broke his wrist. John decided that he really ought to take Neil to hospital rather than finishing the trial.

The trial at Brook Farm is open to both AMCA and non AMCA riders and entries can be made for one day or both days on the day. Entries each day cost AMCA riders £8 in advance and £10 on the day while guests will pay £10 and £12. Entry forms can be downloaded from the AMCA trials fixture list at www.amca.uk.com

AMCA’s 80th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS – August Bank Holiday weekend!
Way back in 1932 AMCA first stepped into the breach to organise off road events for a growing number of keen amateur motorcyclists.
Since then tens of thousands of members have enjoyed participating in all manner of events from hill climbs to motocross events, from classic scrambles to football on trials bikes! – you name it they’ve done it all.
To celebrate the fact that the AMCA has reached it’s 80th Birthday a two day event will be held at Upton Court – the home of one of the AMCA’s oldest clubs Kinver Auto Club.
The event will take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend of 26th and 27th August, and is hoped will include a modern / classic trial, a motoduro, a modern motocross and classic scramble.
All of the finer details are still being worked out but it looks set to be a great weekend where AMCA members – both old and new, can share experiences and meet up with old adversaries!
Put it in your diary and keep an eye on the website for developments!
