Thor/Parts Unlimited: Weekend Breakdown

Another Mammoth MX weekend has come and gone, but for those in attendance throughout the week long event it resulted in yet another great time had by all.  As anticipated, multiple Thor riders showcased their skills on the track and produced podium finishes throughout the week.

Katie Greer took the championship in the Women’s Amateur class, and Tyler Sjoberg captured the championship in the 250 Pro class.  Sjoberg also had excellent finishes in the 250 Intermediate (2nd overall) and 450 Pro class (3rd overall).

Greer’s championship performance was extremely impressive considering she has been out of Amateur National competition for over a year while she has been battling stomach problems which had her receiving chemotherapy at times.  Her performance and upbeat attitude was nothing short of spectacular, and there is no doubt she will be running upfront when she gets back to regular competition.

In addition to Greer and Sjoberg, Jessy Nelson was on the podium twice over the weekend at 2nd overall in the Schoolboy and 250 Intermediate class.

Finally, there were two riders in attendance throughout the week that are just making their way back to full-time racing.  Landon Currier was on the track after being out for the last year and a half with multiple injuries.  Currier wasn’t showing much rust as he charged his way to a 3rd overall in the 250 Intermediate class.

Also, on hand was Tyler Stewart who was involved in a crash at Lake Whitney earlier this year.  We caught up with both Currier and Stewart on their comebacks, and you can see the footage by logging onto Facebook, YouTube, or thormx.com.

North of the border, Thor is actively taking part in the Canadian motocross scene.  Thor is showing its continued support by sponsoring top performing teams like the Leading Edge Kawasaki and the Royal Distributing KTM teams.  Both are official Thor racewear teams, and have a ton of talent out on the track.

Thor is not limiting its involvement to just the teams either.  Starting this season Thor is also helping MX Performance Magazine bring fans episodes of Motovision.  Motovision is an online show that brings fans front and center to everything going on within the Canadian Nationals.  In addition to the online TV show, Thor has also partnered up to deliver the Moto X Radio Live Audio Webcast from each and every event.

Being a supporter of the sport of motocross has no boundaries, and Thor is doing their part to step up and support a highly competitive series with a ton of talented riders.
