Tommy Searle: "The first race just about summed up my luck this season"

Tommy Searle:

If anyone watched the GP of Loket this weekend you would have seen both Tommy Searle and Jeffrey Herlings continue their battle for the MX2 world championship, but the big question is, will it ever stop?

Probably not this season, they obviously don’t get on off the track let alone on it. Sunday’s racing was exciting but the bickering is just boring and in the end could cost one rider or even both dearly, we now head to Matterley Basin for what’s set to be a fantastic spectacle for motocross and lets keep it that way.

Heres’s what Tommy said after the race.

“The first race just about summed up my luck this season. I got a good start but another rider inside me on the gate never braked at the first corner and I was nearly last. I was second by half distance, but I had used so much energy that I had no chance to catch the leader too. In the second race I went for a pass on Herlings, we touched and he went down. I knew he would think I did it on purpose so I wasn’t surprised when he hit me later in the race but I was missing my lines in the heat and just had to settle for third.”
