Weekend Ketchup – Phoenix images, videos and chat.

It seems after the first round of Supercross from Anaheim fans were expecting the same thing – well Phoenix did produce some good racing and a few upsets to boot, so what went down in Phoenix town?

Handlebar heroes…

Only 1/2 a second separated James and Chad Reed at the finish

Stewart and Reed demolished the field and swept to a 1-2 with Stewart looking back to dominate form, Reed chased and chased but couldn’t pass the Yamaha ride and had to settle for second.
Round one winner Josh Grant grabbed third and will only improve as the season moves on.

A great final lap of action between James and Chad

Rookie Villopoto could only manage seventh and Mike Alessi was outside the top ten in eleventh.

Sean Hamblin didn’t quite manage to qualify nor did Ben Coisy, Steve Boniface and Cody Cooper who was injured in his heat race – disappointment for those guys.

In MXLites the big news of the day is that Jason Lawrence didn’t qualify, the news coming out of the USA well there isn’t any about why he didn’t make the main – I would imagine throughout the day the forums will go into rumour overdrive as to the reasons, and we wait with baited breath.

SX Lites final lap

It was business as usual for Ryan Dungey, with Jlaw out of the reckoning Dungey got back to winning ways in Phoenix and now leads the lites class by 2 points from Jake Weimer who could only manage fourth behind Justin Brayton and Ryan Morais.

Our own Adam Chatfield put on another superb performance and sits nicely within the top ten of the overall championship.

New kit and gloves can be tough to get used too???
