Weymouth Beach Race 2012
 followed by 6 races, 2 races in each category of Expert, Senior, Junior. Accumulated results in both races gives the final positions.</p>
<p>The famous beach course is approximately one mile long and is designed to test the riders to the limits, reaching speeds of 70 mph, while competitively negotiating ‘Bomb Holes’, Dare Devil Jumps, Sharp Chicanes and a high speed straight.</p>
<p>Take a visit to the “races pit area”, browse along the motocross trade stalls and enjoy the many seafront attractions, entertainment and hospitality.</p>
<p>The Beach Motocross is another great sporting event hosted on Weymouth Beach, a fascinating and successful contrast to the traditional holiday beach scene.</p>
<p>This event, like so many of Weymouth and Portland’s great Festivals, is free.</p>
<p>The event is organised by The Purbeck Motorcycle Club, The Weymouth Lions Club (website: www.weymouthlionsclub.co.uk) wilth full support from Weymouth and Portland Borough Council’s Tourism and Leisure Services Unit.</p>
