Clement Desalle Biography:
Clement Desalle competes in the MXGP class of the FIM World Championship, as part of the Rockstar Energy Suzuki World team. After competing in the French national championships, European Championships and the Junior World Championships on a 125cc bike, he went straight into the MX1 class of the World Championship, making his debut at the GP of Flanders in 2006, and going on to finish the season in 25th overall.
Over the next few years he learnt his trade, and progressed towards the top of the leaderboard, finishing 20th in 2007 and 11th in 2008. However, his big breakthrough came in 2009 when he signed for the LS Motors Honda team, and he finished third overall, picking up his maiden GP win at Loket in the Czech Republic.
Since then, riding a Suzuki, he has never finished outside the top three of the MX1 competition. His best overall finish has been second in 2010, 2012 and 2013, and until the end of the 2013 season, he had accumulated a total of 15 MX1 victories. He has continued to perform well in 2014, and has so far picked up a further four GP wins.
Away from the World Championship, Clement has also done the business at the Motocross of Nations, as part of a strong Belgian team. Beginning with a third place at his first appearance at the event in 2009, he has climbed steadily up the podium, culminating in a victory in 2013.
