American Malcolm Stewart competes in the 450cc class of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship for Troy Lee/Lucas Oil/Honda. He is the younger brother of two-time AMA champion James Stewart, which means he is lucky enough to be constantly getting help and guidance from one of the world’s best riders.

Born on 27th October 1992, Malcolm grew up in Bartow, Florida, where he first had his sights set on becoming a professional fisherman on the Bassmaster Tour. However, that was all forgotten after he made his professional supercross debut at Houston in February 2011.

In his debut season, Malcolm finished inside the top ten in 250SX East Region points, an achievement he repeated in 2012. In motocross, riding for JDR/J-Star/KTM, he posted back-to-back 11th place finishes in the 250cc class over the same period. He switched to the 450cc class in May 2013 as a replacement for the injured Christian Craig at Troy Lee/Lucas Oil/ Honda, and finished the year in 13th place overall.

He went into 2014 with the aim of finishing inside the top ten in MX points, and he started well, finishing in the top ten in each moto over the first three rounds of the season. However, his performances tailed off after that, and in July, sitting tenth in the overall standings, he announced that he had been diagnosed with kidney and liver problems, and he was forced to sit out the round at Spring Creek.
