American Ryan Dungey rides for the Red Bull KTM team in the 450 class of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Born in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, Ryan’s father Troy instilled a passion for the sport in his three sons, and young Ryan turned pro in 2006, being named AMA Rookie of the Year for Supercross/Motocross the following year.

In 2009, he continued his stellar progress, and was crowned AMA West Coast SX Lites champion and AMA 250 Motocross champion. He followed that up in 2010 by winning the Supercross Championship and Motocross Championship in the 450 class in his rookie season, becoming just the second rider ever to accomplish that feat. In 2011, he finished third in 450SX points and second in 450MX points.

After two years riding for Factory Suzuki, Ryan made a surprise move to Red Bull KTM for the 2012 season, and it proved an inspired decision. With Chad Reed, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto missing for much of the year, Ryan won the final ten overalls of the season, to secure his second 450 Class AMA Motocross Championship title in three years.

With Stewart and Villopoto back in action, Ryan found things a little tougher in 2013, and could only claim the runner-up spot behind Villopoto. In 2014, he faced a tough challenge from teammate Ken Roczen, and he currently stands in second place behind Roczen with four rounds of the season still to go.
