Langrish Motocross circuit today hosted the Ken Hall Trophy race which is now Europe’s longest running International event. The invitation only event featured some of the best motocross riders on the planet, both present and past. The circuit is one of the most beautiful in the country with its natural terrain and hard surfaces should produce close bar banging action.

The circuit was in great condition today as both 250 and 450 machines battled it out together for top honours. The three race programme produced some class action and 18 year old David Goosen grinded out some impressive motos finishing a best of 10th in the International field.

South African Goosen did not look one bit out of place on the CRF250R battling within the top ten today and this is surely a sign of what is to come from the young Portsmouth based rider.

Dennis Amor – Team Manager

‘’ Today was really good for David. The fact that he has only jumped onto the Honda and is already fighting with these established riders is outstanding. He seems to settle onto bike quickly and is adapting every time he rides. We tried to go riding a few times this week but the lovely Scottish weather put that to a stop. We did however manage some sand riding on Saturday to loosen him up for this race. It is clear that David has high potential and I really look forward to the next British Championship race.’’

David Goosen – Rider – 15th-10th-13th

‘’ Qualifying was good but there was just so many fast guys out there and and the times were real close, I think even seven guys in 1 second. I race 1 I got a good start but crashed and my exhaust pipe bent. Later in the race it fell off so I could only manage 15th. In the second race I was 13th most of the race but made a charge at to end up 10th which I was happy about. In the final race I was battling with Jake Nicholls most of the race but at the end I got really tired and lost a few places. The bike is going really well and I am really pumped with my speed. To be honest I am really tired now but look forward to getting on the bike again.’’

Overall Results:

1. Stephen Sword

2. Elliot Banks Browne

3. Scott Columb

4. Marvin van Daele

5. Jake Nicholls

13. David Goosen
