Race 2. Nez Parker said: “I’m happy with my performance today. The track was so tough but I felt I handled it pretty well and considering I’ve been out for so long I think I did okay. I tried as hard as I could in the second race to pass Jamie but got tired towards the end. The track is good practice for the next round of the British at Langrish so I’m looking forward to doing well there. I am struggling a bit with a torn ACL in my knee but hopefully I can get through the rest of the season and then get it sorted.” Jamie Law said: “I struggled in the first race. I was trying to ride smooth lines early on which is not the thing to do. You have to just race and scrap for every position in the first few laps otherwise you just get punted out of the way in every corner. I found my rhythm later on but was already too far down by then. I came out with a different attitude in the second race and was in the mix from the start. I was determined to get into the points this time out and I was pleased that I stayed strong throughout the whole race and ended up with my best GP result in 18th.” Team Manager, Steve Turner, said: “This was such a tough track for the lads to ride for the first time. It doesn’t look like it’s that hard to ride when you watch it on TV but when you actually get here you realise why many riders say it’s one of the toughest in the calendar. I’m really pleased they both got into the points, they both gave it 100% and were rewarded with their best results so far in GP’s. They should both go into the British GP in two weeks time with increased confidence and I’m looking forward to some great performances there.” |
