Increased Prize Fund for Carrickfergus Club Two Day Motocross

Increased Prize Fund for Carrickfergus Club Two Day Motocross

Improvement is key to the continued success of any annual event, so in keeping with that concept the Carrickfergus Club have listened to the rider’s opinions from the 2011 Two Day and adjusted the prize fund ahead of this season’s event at Desertmartin.

The distribution of prize money has been reviewed and the outcome is that the Grade ‘A’ Solo’s and the Grade ‘B’ Solo’s will be scored as two separate classes and separate prize money and trophies have been pencilled in for the two classes. Although riders should note, if there are not enough entries to warrant two separate races they will be combined into an ‘A & B’ class for racing but will still be scored separately.

The Clubman classes will remain the same as previous years with the fastest 40 clubmen to qualify for the ‘Pro Clubman’ class to race for the prize money and trophies while the remaining clubman classes will compete for trophies. Also new for 2012 is the separation of the Expert graded quads from the Clubman quads within their combined race. Prize money will be up for grabs in both of the quad classes along with trophies.

It’s anticipated over £2000 will be used for prizes which is a substantial increase from 2011 and the club is still working hard in the background to secure more prizes for the riders on the day. The provisional prize money has been agreed and it is as follows;

Prize Fund (Subject to Change) 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
G Force Suspension Premier Class 150 100 80 60 40 30
