Mothering Sunday funday for East Kent SSC

09:28PM Tue, 4th March 2008

In the Dust Bowl formerly known as the Garden of England, East Kent held their second meeting of the championship & BSMA qualifier. While the rest of the country is struggling with floods and are knee deep in mud we are having trouble seeing the track for the dust! The going was very hard and flinty but after a slow start we managed to get two blocks in of some fantastic racing from the boys and girls. Well done to all the kids for giving us a thoroughly exciting day and something to cheer about on Mothers Day.

In the AMX races Paul Willis had another great day winning both races, well done to him, in the first race Brett Fisher came second and Troy Beck third. In the second race Graham Heasman came second with Troy Beck Third. So, on the podium we had Wild Man Willis in first place, Graham Heasman second and Brett Fisher took the third spot.

The Seniors saw Aaron Jenner win first place on the podium with a first in the first race and a second in the second race. Joe Cundle took the second spot as he won the second moto. Karl Johnson took the third place as he had a second in the first race followed by a third in the second race. Shaun Springer came third in the first race.

In the Big Wheels the top three names were the same for both races Tom Crittenden won both races so gained the podium top spot ,good racing Tom. Chris Chapman took the second spot as he had a third in the first race and a second in the last race. Zach Peters came in third on the podium with a second in the first moto and a third in the second.

The Small wheels also had an all out winner with Ryan Fellowes winning both races well done Ryan. Toby Stubberfield came in second in the first moto and Dan Packman was third. In the second race it was Brad Garrett who had second place and Jake Fry who took third place. So, overall on the day Ryan took top spot on the podium with Toby in second place and Brad Garrett in third.

Jack Wilson won both the Juniors races which gained him top spot on the podium; with Patrick O’Neil taking both second places he took the second spot. Third place in the first race went to Mitchell Lewis so he took third spot on the day. Jake Deacon was third in the second race.

It must be a day for winners as the Autos had an all out winner too, Jake Kemp won both races. Ashdon Manktelow took both seconds gaining him second place overall on the day. Carl Budge was third in the first race. I would like to make a special mention for Albie Wilkie who took third position in the second race giving him third overall on the day as it was his first race ever, really well done Albie!.
