Not so Perfect end for Mark
Full of confidence and with high aspirations, Mark Perfect headed to London for the Final Round of the British Supercross Championship lying in 2nd place overall in the Youth Lites Class. Having finished 2nd at both of the previous rounds he had his sights sets firmly on the top step of the podium inside the o2 Arena in the country’s capital on Saturday.
With early signs of great speed in practice and qualifying, things were looking good until Mark was unfortunately hit by another rider landing on top of his hand and causing both to hit the ground. The impact to Mark’s hand later proved too painful for Mark to compete in the night’s final Race, which resulted in a major loss of points and unable to fulfill his goal of taking his first British Supercross victory. Thankfully nothing seems to be broken in the hand, just bruised and swollen.
So with a week of rest and recovery, the 2009 Scottish Youth Champ will now prepare for his trip out to California with Stuart Flockhart for MX pre-season Training.
Updates will be posted on FlockhartMX.com as well as features on MOTO who are also travelling out to the U.S. and reporting on the trip.
