Suzuki RM-Z250 Wins Japanese MX Title

Team Suzuki’s Kei Yamamoto has won the Japanese International A2 Motocross Championship after racing back from a crash at the weekend’s final round at the Sugo MX circuit.

Yamamoto fell on the first lap of the opening race, but remounted and charged his RM-Z250 back from 26th position to fifth at the flag to keep his series lead intact by a narrow two points heading into the final race. The 20 year old then played it safe and rode a calculated second moto, staying out of trouble to come home in eighth position to clinch the title from main series rival Yui Hoshino (Honda) by a narrow three points.
