KTM UK backed riders Tom Church and Daryl Bolter secure second and third overall in the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship at a hot and sunny Canada Heights.

Capping off an impressive debut season in the BSEC, former top flight motocross rider, Tom Church finished third overall in Elite at round nine of the series to cement his place as runner up in the hotly contested series. Finding the challenging mix of woodland and motocross to his liking, Church put in one of his strongest rides of the season to finish behind Enduro World Championship contenders Matti Seistola and Jordan Rose. Holding a solid second overall during the mid way point in the race, the KTM rider made a couple of mistakes to end his day in third – just seven seconds behind Rose.

Placing fourth at round nine, Bolter rapidly improved at round ten. Making a fast start to the morning, the KTM rider placed less than nine seconds behind Seistola at the end of lap one. However, while trying to fight off a heavy dose of hay fever, Bolter also faced a strong challenge from Ryan Voase. Unable to maintain his early morning pace he narrowly missed out on second place by three seconds but secured third overall in the BSEC series.

In Under 19, KTM’s Steve Holcombe was yet again the rider to beat. Determined to end his season with a perfect scorecard, the 18-year old claimed victory at round nine and ten.

KTM’s Jane Daniels secured another double win to also end her BSEC season unbeaten. Clearly enjoying the perfect conditions at the spectacular Canada Heights, Daniels easily won round nine before repeating the same result at round ten. Behind her, world downhill mountain biking star, Fionn Griffiths produced her strongest ride of the season to claim second.

Daryl Bolter, Elite (3-3): “I found it a little difficult this weekend to run the pace I wanted to. I suffer from hay fever and at times I found it hard to breathe. During the last couple of tests at round ten I was really fatigued and struggled to hold on. It was frustrating as my speed was fast early on and I should have been able to finish second instead of third. But overall it’s been a really good season. I’m enjoying riding the KTM 350 EXC and very pleased to have finished on the podium.”

Steve Holcombe, Under 19 (1-1): “I’m delighted to have won all the rounds of the championship. Coming into the season I didn’t expect to be so dominant and it’s taken me by surprise. Round nine was a tough fight between myself and Joe Wootton. He lead early on and then I crashed hard trying to catch him and lost a lot of time. However, he also crashed in the following special test and that put me back in front and allowed me to win. At round ten I just tried to ride smooth and doing that helped me to grab another win. It’s been a perfect season and I’ve loved every venue we’ve rode at. My goal next year is to move up to Under 23 where hopefully I can continue to improve both my speed and results. I’d also like to thank JD Racing for all their help this season.”

Jane Daniels, Women (1-1): “It’s been another great weekend for me to be honest. At round nine the track was quite soft and rutted early on but as the sun came out it dried very quickly and by mid day conditions were perfect. After riding Erzberg last weekend I thought I would suffer a little with tiredness but I’ve felt fine and I’m really happy to have ended the championship with two more wins.”

Fionn Griffiths, Women (2-2): “It’s been a good event for me. I hadn’t raced since the Enduro World Championship in Portugal in May so to come here and finish second has been very rewarding. I’ve loved racing in the BSEC, it’s well organised and on par with any of the world events I’ve competed in. Hopefully, if it doesn’t conflict with my downhill mountain bike championship I’ll be back next year to contest the full series.”

Gas Gas’s Danny McCanney has won the Under 23 title in the 2012 British Sprint Enduro Championship. After two undisputed wins in the final rounds held at Canada Heights.

Gas Gas’s Danny McCanney has won the Under 23 title in the 2012 British Sprint Enduro Championship. After two undisputed wins in the final rounds held at Canada Heights, Kent at the weekend, McCanney is the clear winner of what has been the hottest-contested title in the series.

McCanney also celebrated number one status as the top performing rider across all classes in the series, consistently placing top-three outright, and recording two outright wins.

The final round of the series held at the legendary motocross venue Canada Heights proved an excellent closer to the BSEC series, with a course that was a mix of the motocross track and trail through the surrounding woodland. As ever, McCanney was on top form to take his two wins and placing second fastest overall to visiting world enduro star Matti Seistola.

Danny McCanney: “This weekend was the best I’ve ridden all year. I’ve had a three-week break from competing and so I came back hungry to win. I didn’t actually expect to do so well, as the course featured a lot of motocross elements which would favour some of my rivals, but I felt good, everything flowed, I had no issues.

“My bike is a major part of that success – we’ve been refining the fine-tune set-up on the new Gas Gas EC300 Racing since the beginning of the year and it’s so good right now. All I did through the weekend was to change the front tyre to suit the changing conditions, it was perfect – a championship winning machine. I couldn’t want for more!”

Steve Plain, Gas Gas UK team manager: “We’ve had a great weekend. Jonty Edmunds and his BSEC team put on a fantastic last event to cap-off on an excellent series. We even had good weather.

“Danny was brilliant, the bike ran perfect. Some weekends you can’t help but feel the joy – we come racing for days like these. And another championship won – job done!”

Danny McCanney’s next race is, by entry numbers alone, the biggest fixture in the British enduro calendar – the Welsh Two Day Enduro, starting in Llandrindod Wells this Thursday-Friday (June 21-22).

Perfect racing conditions at Canada Height ensures two days of action packed racing as Jordan Rose secures the coveted Elite title - good work that man.

With the majority of Britain under attack from unseasonably bad summer weather the final stop of the 2012 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship enjoyed glorious sunshine, which ensured perfect racing conditions during both days of the hotly contested event.

Making his first appearance in the championship Husqvarna’s factory team rider Matti Seistola wasted little time in adapting to the sprint enduro racing format. Although slowed by numerous mistakes during the opening two laps at round nine, Seistola soon found his pace and topped the final four special tests to claim a comfortable win. At round ten, the Husqvarna rider completed a mistake free day to secure victory at the final round of the season.

For the newly crowned Elite class champion Jordan Rose, Saturday’s round nine got off to a disastrous start when a stone jammed in his chain during the opening lap. Losing over 35 seconds as he was forced to stop and remove the offending stone, Rose spent the remainder of his day battling hard to recover lost time. Setting a fast pace during the final stages of the day, Rose finished as runner-up to Seistola, clinching the Elite championship in the process.

Putting in a strong ride, KTM’s Tom Church finished less than seven seconds behind Rose to place third. Daryl Bolter finished ten seconds behind Church to end his day in fourth while Honda mounted Lee Edmondson quickly acquainted himself with his new bike to place fifth.

With Seistola once again leading the way on Sunday’s round 10, the fight for second was fought out between Bolter and Kawasaki’s Ryan Voase. Setting a fast pace during the closing stages of the day, Voase reeled in Bolter and finished second to record his best ever finish in the BSEC. Bolter placed third. Rose again fought back from a disappointing opening lap to end his day fourth. Edmondson once again put in a solid ride to round out the top five.

Finding the exciting mix of woodland, motocross track, and flowing grass tracks to his liking, Gas Gas’ Danny McCanney was in a confident mood at round nine. Trailing initial pace setter Husaberg’s Alex Rockwell by seven seconds at the end of lap one, McCanney quickly overhauled Rocky to end the day almost 37 seconds in front. Leading the way from the beginning of round ten, Danny delivered another unbeatable ride to claim the final victory of the season and with it secured the Under 23 championship.

Although hoping to use his motocross experience to his advantage around the Canada Heights circuit, Rockwell was unable to consistently match the pace of his fellow Manxman and had to be content with placing second at both rounds nine and ten.

Finishing third at round nine, Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland improved his pace at round ten by switching to a larger capacity machine. Although ending his day over one-minute adrift of the leading duo, Rowland produced one of his best results to date. Lewis Belfield (KTM) and Scotland’s Frazer Norrie (KTM) enjoyed a weekend long battle for fourth and fifth. At round nine, Belfield got the better of Norrie to finish fourth, while Norrie pipped Belfield by six tenths of a second at round ten to steal fourth.

In the Under 19 class KTM’s Steve Holcombe wrapped up his BSEC season with a perfect scorecard by claiming wins at round nine and ten. After a difficult start to round nine, Holcombe capitalised on a crash by early race leader Joe Wootton (Kawasaki) to grab his ninth victory of the year. Putting in a mistake free ride at round ten, the KTM rider topped the standings for the final time this year.

Husqvarna’s Robert Johnson delivered his best ride of the season to place a solid second at round nine. With James Dent (KTM) finishing closely behind in third, Stuart Owen (Yamaha) narrowly beat Wootton to finish fourth.

At round ten, Wootton avoided making any mistakes to place as runner up to Holcombe. Johnson eventually held off a late charge by Dent to finish third while Owens completed the top five.

In the 125 Youth Cup, Husaberg’s Jamie McCanney returned from injury to secure a double victory. Although lacking some race pace, he eased his way into the event and topped the class standings each day. KTM’s Brad Freeman continued to impress with another strong ride in the series at Canada Heights. Finishing as runner up to McCanney at both rounds, Freeman also wrapped up the 125 Youth Cup championship.
At round nine, TM’s Josh Gotts rode a lonely race to finish third with Jack Staines (Yamaha) and Lee Sealey (KTM) completing the top five. Sealey reversed the positions of round nine to place third at round ten while Staines got the better of Gotts by four seconds to finish in fourth.

In the Expert class the battle for championship honours was an intense one between Husaberg’s Tyson Maytom-Jones and KTM’s Richard Ely. Maytom-Jones led the proceedings early during round nine until a mechanical issue dropped him out of contention allowing Ely to claim the win. The Husaberg rider’s luck ran out at round ten when problems arose again allowing Ely to power through to secure the Expert championship.

At round nine, Hart placed a close second to Ely before upping his pace to win the final round of the series. With Honda’s James Jackman ending round nine in third, Daniel Beaven (KTM) placed fourth while Craig Reynolds (KTM) rounded out the top five. With Hart winning round ten, Ely fended off stiff competition from Beaven to finish second. With Beaven securing third, Jackman finished fourth, while Kalem Hicks (KTM) completed the top five.

TM’s Gethin Francombe continued his winning ways to claim a commanding double victory in the Clubman class. Darren Osbourne (KTM) finished behind the TM rider to place second beating Husqvarna mounted Jamie Jenkins, Ryan Poolman (KTM) and early leader Ian Smart (KTM). Francombe again topped the standings at round ten. Absent from round nine, Mark Houson claimed second at round ten. Jason Corden (KTM) completed the top three while Osbourne and Jenkins rounded out the top five.

In the Women’s class, KTM mounted Jane Daniels secured another double victory to remain unbeaten this season. Fionn Griffiths (KTM) defended a strong fight from Katie Bullock (Husqvarna) to place second both days while Stephanie Rowe (AJP) finished fourth.

It’s crunch time for the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship as the series heads to Canada Heights this weekend for the final two rounds of the series. And with free spectator entry on Saturday, June 16, courtesy of Watling Tyres and Michelin, it’s an event not to be missed.

The first time the series visits the Canada Heights motocross circuit, it’s TM’s Jordan Rose that enters the final rounds of the season as leader of the competitive Elite championship. Heading his nearest challenger, KTM’s Daryl Bolter, by a slender 14 points, Rose has been one of the standout performers of the year so far and will be hoping to secure his first major enduro title. Clinching a double victory at rounds five and six of the series the former motocross rider will face stiff competition, not least from Bolter, Tom Church, and visiting Finnish rider Matti Seistola.

Yet to secure a win in 2012, Bolter heads into this weekend focused on delivering a top result. Knowing that only victory will ensure he stands a chance of becoming champion, Bolter will be going all-out for success. Sitting third overall and just five points adrift of Bolter, KTM’s Tom Church will also be a hot favourite for victory.

Aiming to cement their places inside the top five of the championship Husqvarna’s Jamie Lewis, Husaberg’s Simon Wakely, Honda’s Lee Edmondson and Kawasaki’s Mark Roberts will be determined to become spoilers in the championship fight. Adding in the last minute addition of Husqvarna’s Enduro Factory rider Matti Seistola ensures an explosive end to this year’s championship final. Seistola, who is one of the leading riders in the Enduro 1 World Championship, will be sure to spice the racing up this weekend.

With the Under 23 championship yet to be decided, defending champion Gas Gas’ Danny McCanney heads to Canada Heights with a comfortable points lead. Claiming victory at four of the eight rounds so far, McCanney leads second place Jonny Walker (KTM) by 12 points. However, with Walker absent due to overseas commitments, it’s Husaberg’s Alex Rockwell who’ll present the biggest threat to McCanney. With Walker absent, Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland, KTM’s Lewis Belfield and Frazer Norrie (KTM) will be keen to record a top three result.

Remaining unbeaten so far in 2012, KTM’s Steve Holcombe is already crowned Under 19 champion. But with the possibility of a perfect season still up for grabs he’ll be charging hard for victory this weekend. Behind him the battle for the remainder of the podium positions is expected to be a fierce one between James Dent (KTM), Robert Johnson (Husqvarna), Aaron Smith (Husaberg) and Joe Wootton (Kawasaki).

Securing a double victory at rounds eight and nine in Adstone, Husaberg’s Tyson-Maytom Jones leads the Expert class. However, with a slender lead over both Richard Ely (KTM) and Oliver Hart (KTM), Maytom-Jones is far from assured of becoming champion just yet. Adding in Jack Lee (Gas Gas), James Jackman (Honda) and Daniel Beaven (KTM) and the fight for a top five result in Experts remains as tight as ever.

In the 125 Youth Cup KTM’s Brad Freeman is the rider on top form at the moment. Claiming double victories at both Saints Well and Adstone, Freeman will be hoping another strong ride will help him to be crowned champion. Lee Sealey (KTM) and Josh Gotts (TM) and Jack Staines (Yamaha) are sure to be in the mix as well.

In the Clubman class TM’s Gethin Francombe is the championship favourite with a 29-point advantage over his nearest rival Richard Topping (Honda), while Jason Corden (KTM) and Aaron Martin (KTM) and Ian Smart (KTM) round out the top five.

KTM’s Jane Daniels already clinched the Women’s class in Adstone but with the remainder of the podium positions yet to be decided between Rhian George (KTM) and Katie Walker (KTM) it’s still all to play for.

Check out the action at the penultimate round of the 2012 BSEC series on Saturday, June 16th FOC thanks to Watling Tyres and Michelin.

Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship organisers GMC Events are thrilled to announce that thanks to Watling Tyres, the south east’s #1 independent tyre dealer, and Michelin round nine of the series, which takes place on Saturday, June 16, will feature a ‘free gate’ with all spectators coming along to watch the action granted complimentary access for the day.

As one of the championship’s long-standing sponsors Michelin have teamed up with Watling Tyres to offer free entry to the penultimate round of the series, which despite the recent wet weather looks set to bring the 2012 series to a action packed close.

In both the Elite and Under 23 classes championships will be decided at Canada Heights. Jordan Rose leads Daryl Bolter and Tom Church in the Elite class, while in the Under 23 championship Danny McCanney has one hand on yet another BSEC title but will face stiff competition from fellow Manxman Alex Rockwell.

Jonty Edmunds – GMC Events: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer free entry to all spectators who come along to the penultimate round of the 2012 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship at Canada Heights on Saturday, June 16th, and deeply grateful to both Watling Tyres and Michelin who’ve made this possible. As the final stop of the series, and with titles still to be decided in a number of classes, there shouldn’t be a shortage of memorable racing around the fantastic Canada Heights track.

It’s often said that the best is saved until last. And as far as the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship is concerned that might just be the case.

With just two days of the 2012 BSEC series remaining the final stop of the championship heads to the superb Canada Heights venue in Swanley, Kent on June 16/17. With the Elite, Under 23 and Expert championship to be decided the series’ final event promises to be a cracker.

The event also offers those that haven’t yet tried their hand at sprint enduro racing a not to be missed chance to do so. With a number of both enduro and motocross racers having given the championship a ‘one-off’ go this year, organisers GMC Events are hopeful that getting to race at Canada Heights will in part persuade a few more riders to try their hand at the series.

“As the first ever round of the BSEC series to take place at Canada Heights there’ll be a lot of riders that won’t have tried enduro sprint racing before, “explains GMC Events’ Jonty Edmunds. “But we’d like to make riders aware that you don’t have to have signed up for the entire series to compete at the Canada Heights final – there are places available in all classes.

“Although sprint enduro style racing is different to what most motocross and enduro riders who’ll have raced at Canada Heights before will be used to, it really is a simply and enjoyable format. And with all of the motocross track as well as woodland and grass track areas being used in the course, it promises to be a great final round to the series.”

Catering for riders of all abilities, classes include Elite, Under 23, Under 19, Expert, 125cc Youth Cup, Clubman and Women. Rider must be 15 years of age to compete.

Further information on the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship can be found on the series’ website – www.enduro-sprint.com, or by calling event secretary Julie Evans on 07531 146617 (evenings 19.00 – 21.00).

Italian wildcard rider Alex Salvini claimed a double Elite class victory at rounds seven and eight of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship held at Enduroland, Adstone.

In the Under 23 class Husaberg’s Alex Rockwell delivered an impressive ride at round seven to claim his second win of the series. Quickly adapting to the rutted conditions. At round eight it was Walker that lead the way throughout most of the day. Gaining time on the tricky extreme section, Walker looked assured of his third win of the series until a crash during the final lap of the weekend pushed him back to second. Capitalising on Walker’s mistake, championship leader McCanney sneaked through to inherit the win.

Recording his eight consecutive win of the season, KTM’s Steve Holcombe was duly crowned the Under 19 BSEC champion. Mastering the wet and muddy conditions at round seven, Holcombe won all but one of the day’s eight tests to win his class by over three minutes.

At round eight Holcombe repeated his winning result while Kawasaki’s Joe Wootton improved on his round seven performance to place as runner up to Holcombe, who wrapped up the Under-19 championship with 2 rounds to spare.

Italian wildcard rider Alex Salvini has claimed a double Elite class victory at rounds seven and eight of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship held at Enduroland, Adstone. Heavy overnight rain before the event ensured conditions were anything but easy, as the championship witnessed its first true mud race of 2012. Thankfully, better weather during round eight saw the course quickly dry out offering competitors near perfect race conditions for round eight.

Arriving in Adstone as a last minute entry, Husqvarna mounted Salvini wasted little time in getting to grips with the muddy conditions. Immediately setting the fastest time during the opening lap the Italian opened up a ten-second advantage in the Elite class. Improving his pace throughout the day the EWC regular eventually topped round seven by over 20 seconds.

Following a slow start, championship leader Electraction TM’s Jordan Rose soon found his way into second place. Beginning to match Salvini’s pace during the final few laps, Rose ended round seven in second place overall. Finding the slippery conditions to his liking, KTM’s Daryl Bolter fended off a late charge by Tom Church (KTM) to place third. Crashing numerous times during the early morning special tests, Church recovered well to place fourth while KTM’s Jamie Law featured strongly on his BSEC debut ride to finish fifth.

With conditions greatly improved at round eight, Salvini placed second to Bolter after the first lap. Upping his pace for the remainder for the day, the Italian set the fastest time in the rest of the day’s six special tests to secure his second win of the weekend. Feeling much more confident in the improved conditions, Church started round eight in determined fashion. Battling with Bolter during much of the day for the runner up position, Church overcame a crash on the penultimate lap to secure second. With Bolter finishing third, Rose fought back from a technical problem on lap two to end his day fourth, just five tenths of a second behind Bolter. Husaberg’s Simon Wakely put in a solid ride to place fifth.

In the Under 23 class Husaberg’s Alex Rockwell delivered an impressive ride at round seven to claim his second win of the series. Quickly adapting to the rutted conditions, Rockwell headed the highly competitive Under 23 class to finish first. Chasing him home for second, KTM’s Jonny Walker placed just 20 seconds behind the Husaberg rider. Enduring a crash filled morning Gas Gas’ Danny McCanney lost touch with the leading two, ending his day in third. Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland was fourth with Lewis Belfield (KTM) rounding out the top five.

Unable to repeat his result from round seven, Rockwell finished in third. Rowland again secured fourth while Belfield placed fifth.

Recording his eight consecutive win of the season, KTM’s Steve Holcombe was duly crowned the Under 19 BSEC champion. Mastering the wet and muddy conditions at round seven, Holcombe won all but one of the day’s eight tests to win his class by over three minutes. Behind him, KTM’s James Dent and Husqvarna’s Robert Johnson battled hard for the runner up position. Improving his pace towards the end of the day, Dent beat Johnson by five seconds to steal the runner-up spot. With Johnson third, early pace setter Aaron Smith (Husaberg) placed fourth with Stuart Owens (Yamaha) in fifth.
At round eight Holcombe repeated his winning result while Kawasaki’s Joe Wootton improved on his round seven performance to place as runner up to Holcombe. Johnson claimed third pushing Dent back to fourth with Owens rounding out the top five.

Brad Freeman continued to be the rider to beat in the 125 Youth Cup. Clearly enjoying the muddy conditions at round seven, Freeman placed nearly four minutes ahead of his nearest rival to secure victory. Josh Gotts (TM) ended round seven 20 seconds in front of KTM’s Lee Sealey to place second. With Sealey third, Luke Flack (TM) finished fourth with Jack Staines (Yamaha) completing the top five.

Freeman once again headed his class at round eight as he recorded his second victory of the weekend. Behind him, Gotts, Sealey and Flack fought for the runner-up position. After almost 70 minutes of racing, Sealey beat Gotts by five seconds to claim second. With Gotts third, Flack and Scott Altass (Husaberg) rounded out the top five.

Husaberg’s Tyson Maytom-Jones was on top form at round seven to win the Expert class. Making a slow start, KTM’s Oliver Hart ended his day in second finishing 20 seconds in front of third place Richard Ely (KTM). Jack Lee (Gas Gas) and James Jackman (Honda) rounded out the top five.

At round eight, Maytom-Jones once again led the way. Fastest on the opening three tests, the Husaberg rider opened up a 25-second advantage over Ely to secure victory. With Ely improving to second, Hart placed third. Daniel Beaven (KTM) delivered a strong ride to place fourth while Lee completed the top five.

In the Clubman class TM’s Gethin Francombe headed the standings at round seven when he claimed victory by almost three minutes from Richard Topping (Honda) in second. With Jason Corden (KTM) placing third, Aaron Martin (KTM) and Carl Bale (KTM) finished fourth and fifth respectively.

At round eight Francombe once again secured victory though this time his margin of victory was much tighter. With the duo separated by less than one second entering the seventh and final test, Francombe set his fastest time of the day to secure victory. With Lappin finishing second, Topping placed third with Martin Rowan (KTM) and Corden rounding out the top five.

Jane Daniels clinched the Women’s class championship with a commanding double victory at Enduroland. Winning all of the eight special tests at round seven, she comfortably placed ahead of Rhian George (KTM), Katie Walker (KTM) and Liz Childerley (Gas Gas).

With Daniels easily winning round eight, Walker beat George to claim second place with Childerley and Stephanie Rowe (AJP) rounding out the top five.

Danny McCanney enjoyed more success at rounds seven and eight of the 2012 British Sprint Enduro Championship at Adstone, Northants at the weekend. After a podium finish on day one, McCanney topped the Under 23 class on day two, placing second overall behind EWC works rider Alex Salvini. McCanney consequently extended his lead in the Under 23 championship.

Conditions were testing, recent rains making the course, a mix of woods and fields, claggy – leading to problems for the clubmen riders early on day one. The course was subsequently altered, removing a man-made extreme section. On day two the course had dried and the extreme section was reinstated, making for close racing.

Danny McCanney: “I’m happy for the win and I’m happy to inch a bit further ahead in the championship, but I feel I’ve a little bit of work to do. Saturday was a disaster for me, on the second run everything went wrong and I crashed over and over, losing me about 30-seconds – too many to recover a win. Fortunately the rest of my runs were fast enough to salvage third. On day two I got the win, but I’d left it to the last run to make it stick, I don’t need to make it that close – although obviously it’s great for the spectators!

“I’m off to Spain now for some suspension tests with the factory. But I’ll be looking to practice extreme sections more over the coming weeks. Just as I said after the recent EWC rounds, that’s where I can make some substantial gains.”

Steve Plain, Gas Gas UK team manager: “Like Danny I’m happy with the results. Also like Danny I can see there’s so much more to come. As he said, he’ll cut a lot of time when he gets the extreme riding sorted, but it’ll also help him to be up to full-race speed earlier. It’s still early in his career, though, all these things will come.

“His Gas Gas EC300 Racing was again perfect and we took the time to experiment with settings, trying different mousses, tyres and suspension settings. There’s more to come from the bike as well. It’s good to keep building on the successes.”

Also racing: Jack Lee placed 4-5 in the Experts on his John Lee Motorcycles Gas Gas EC300.

McCanney’s next race is the final of the 2012 British Sprint Enduro Championship at Canada Heights, Kent (June 16-17).
