Elite

With a strong line up of international talent competing in the Elite class, Finland’s Matti Seistola (Husqvarna) instantly hit the ground running and set the fastest time on the opening special test. Continuing to maintain his advantage at the head of the field, Seistola steadily extended his lead as the day progressed and secured a 34-second margin of victory.

Making his first appearance in the 2013 BSEC series Gas Gas’ Danny McCanney immediately impressed. After a disappointing first special test, the Manxman picked up his pace. Stealing the fifth special test win away from Seistola, McCanney ended his day in second overall.

Hopeful of repeating his race win from round two of the series, Husaberg’s Jamie McCanney struggled to find his pace. Holding off a late charge by TM’s Jordan Rose, McCanney nevertheless ended the day third.

Slow to start, Rose soon found his rhythm during the second half of the day to take fourth. KTM’s Tom Sagar ended his day placing just ten seconds behind Rose to complete the top five.

Under 23

In the highly competitive Under 23 class Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland repeated his winning performance from rounds one and two. Finding the fast flowing course to his liking, Rowland held off class rookie Steve Holcombe (KTM) by ten seconds to secure the win.

Returning to competitive action following a winter-layoff due to injury, the 2012 Under 19 BSEC champion Holcombe quickly found his form to end his day as runner-up to Rowland. Unable to consistently match the pace of the leading duo, Sherco’s Gethin Humphreys placed just 22 seconds behind Rowland to complete the top three. Scotland’s Frazer Norrie (KTM) held of TM’s James Dent to place fourth with Dent rounding out the top five.

Under 19

Husqvarna’s Rob Johnson began round three in a determined mood and quickly established himself at the head of the Under 19 category. Maintaining his fast pace throughout the day, Johnson comfortably claimed his class win in Saints Well.

Despite numerous mistakes, Kawasaki’s Joe Wootton recovered strongly to place as runner-up to Johnson. Behind the top two, TM’s Josh Gotts overcame a problem during the third special test to claim third. With KTM’s Andrew Bull placing fourth Sherco mounted Jon Hunt rounded out the top five.

125cc Youth Cup

Continuing from where he left off at the opening rounds of the series KTM’s Brad Freeman again proved to be the rider to beat in the 125 Youth Cup. Confident on the dry terrain Freeman powered his way to a massive two-minute margin of victory. KTM’s Jack Staines claimed second with Husaberg’s Lee Sealey in third. Ashley Scott (Yamaha) and Drew Slevin (Yamaha) placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Expert

In the Expert class TM mounted Carl Brogden recorded his first win of the season. Sherco’s Scott Austin improved on his result from the opening round of the series to finish as runner-up to Brogden. Kawasaki’s Brad King placed just one-second behind Austin to complete the top three. KTM’s Richard Ely ended his day five seconds behind King in fourth while Shaun Buchan (Yamaha) rounded out the top five.

KTM mounted Andrew Reeves beat Neil Bowker (Honda) to win the Expert Vets category. Husaberg’s Tim Cotton made the long drive from Cornwall worthwhile with victory in the Clubman Vets class. KTM’s Dai Beer was second with Keith Jones (KTM) ending his day in third.

Clubman

In the large Clubman class Aaron Martin (KTM) topped the standings. Chris Morris (KTM) placed as runner-up while Kyle Jacobs (Gas Gas) beat Peter Heyward (KTM) by one-tenth of a second to secure the final step of the podium.

Husaberg’s Jane Daniels overcame a fast starting Katie Walker (KTM) to win the Women’s class.

The Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship continues with rounds four and five at Llangrove, Monmouth on July 6/7.

Elite class competition will be fiercer than ever. Going head-to-head Matti Seistola – Enduro 1 class winner at the recent EWC GP of Spain – Jamie McCanney – current Enduro Youth World Championship points leader – and Tom Sagar – European Enduro Championship Enduro 2 class leader – will all be hoping for a winning result.

As the current Elite class championship leader, KTM’s Darryl Bolter is the rider to beat – himself looking for continued success. Claiming victory at round one before placing third at round two, Bolter has shown he has the speed to fight for victory. However, up against a whole host of talented riders that have recently triumphed on the international scene the KTM rider faces a tough time at Saints Well.

Husaberg’s Jamie McCanney left Chavenage Farm as the overall victor and has since clocked up an impressive four race wins in the Enduro Youth Cup World Championship. Opting to contest the BSEC on a 250 two-stroke, McCanney is a rider to watch for top honours.
Winner at round two, Husqvarna’s Matti Seistola is another rider that figures highly in the EWC. Claiming multiple podiums including a race win at the recent GP of Spain, the Finn is second overall in the Enduro 1 World Championship and will be gunning for glory in Wales.

KTM’s Tom Sagar also heads into the weekend’s BSEC event following international success. Double victor at the European Enduro Championship opener in Italy, plus outright leader of the British Enduro Championship, Sagar has his sights set on overhauling Bolter as the top KTM rider in the series.

Making his Elite class debut in Wales, Gas Gas’ Danny McCanney certainly has what it takes to fight for the win. Missing rounds one and two due to overseas commitments, the multiple Under 23 class champion will be keen to prove himself as top dog.

Defending BSEC champion Jordan Rose (TM) had a difficult start to his season at Chavenage Farm. Fourth at round one but failing to finish round two, Rose is hungry to get back into the title hunt. Adding in Husaberg’s Tom Church, who missed rounds one and two due to injury, the on-form Honda riders Jamie Lewis and Lee Edmondson, plus Kevin Murray (KTM), Mark Roberts (TM) and Matt Ridgway (KTM) ensures the Elite class is more hotly contested than ever.

In the Under 23 class, Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland enters round three on top form. With wins at rounds one and two of the BSEC, plus two highly impressive fourth placed results at the EEC opener in Italy, Rowland will be looking to place on the top step of the U23 podium in Wales. Behind Rowland, TM’s James Dent, Scotland’s Frazer Norrie (KTM) Neil Chatham (KTM) and Frazer Flockhart (KTM), and 2012 Under 19 BSEC champion Steve Holcombe (KTM), are all expected to figure highly.

TM’s Josh Gotts claimed the overall Under 19 class win at rounds one and two. However, he faces a determined Joe Wootton (Kawasaki) and Rob Johnson (Husqvarna), who claimed a round win each at Chavenage Farm. Add in Andrew Bull (KTM), Jon Hunt (Sherco), Scott Altass (KTM) and Luke Flack (KTM) and the Under 19 action is set to be as exciting as ever.

Securing a double win at rounds one and two, KTM’s Brad Freeman was the top-performing rider in the 125 Youth Cup. Setting times that would have saw him challenge for a top 15 result in the overall classification, Freeman will again be a rider to watch out for this weekend.

Husaberg’s Lee Sealey enjoyed a pair of runner-up results at rounds one and two but will be trying hard to bridge the gap to Freeman at round three. Rob Armitage (Husqvarna), Jordan Ridgway (KTM), Ashley Scott (Yamaha) and Drew Slevin (Yamaha) are also keen to claim some silverware at Saints Well.

In the hotly contested Expert class, Kawasaki’s Brad King was the overall winner at Chavenage Farm with defending Expert champion Richard Ely (KTM) a close second and newcomer Scott Austin (Sherco) third. With their on-track rivalry set to continue they’ll also face stiff challenges from Dan Beaven (KTM), Jack Lee (KTM), Carl Brogden (TM) and Jamie Paget (Husaberg).

Katie Walker (KTM) heads to Wales as the current championship leader of the Women’s class. But with Jane Daniels (Husaberg) – the current leader of the Women’s Enduro World Championship – entered, she has a fight on her hands if she’s to win again.

Claiming a double victory at the season opener, Beta’s Lee Green is the rider to beat in the Clubman class. But Richard Holmes (KTM), Mark Denslow (KTM) and Chris Bennetto (KTM) won’t be too far behind Green this time around.

Racing at round three of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship in Saints Well gets underway on Sunday May 26 at 9am sharp.

Spectator Info

Improved 250/350 4-stroke frames

Chassis development of the FE 250 and FE 350 models has resulted in significant weight savings as well as handling improvements. When added to the suspension improvements introduced for 2014 they ensure truly optimised levels of traction and handling.
Daryl Bolter (KTM) and Matti Seistola (Husqvarna) secure Elite class victory at rounds one and two of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship at Chavenage Farm.

Enjoying near prefect weather conditions the 2013 Husqvarna British Sprint Enduro Championship got off to an exciting start at Chavenage Farm, Tetbury, Gloucester. Utilising the venue’s flowing terrain, event organisers GMC Events delivered a challenging cross-country style course that mixed high-speed ‘motocross’ style sections with technical woodlands and rolling grassy hills.

Elite
Setting the fastest time on the first of eight special tests, KTM’s Tom Sagar controlled the Elite class race lead early on during round one. Losing time on the opening test Seistola soon found his rhythm and began to reduce the deficit to Sagar. Working his way into the lead at the end of lap four, Seistola looked on course to claim the win until disaster struck on the final special test.

With his bike developing a fuel pick-up issue, the Finn was left stranded and lost control of the lead. Gaining ground on his rivals as the day wore on, Bolter overtook a slowing Sagar and then capitalised on Seistola’s misfortune to claim a surprising win. With Sagar slipping back to second position, Husaberg’s Jamie McCanney posted the fastest time on the final test to snatch third position in the Elite class away from TM’s Jordan Rose. With Rose fourth, Honda’s Jamie Lewis completed the top five.

Determined to make amends for his previous day’s bad luck, Seistola attacked round two from the start of special test one. Opening up a nine-second advantage over McCanney, the Husqvarna rider continued to build on his race lead as the day progressed. Claiming five of the day’s seven special tests, Seistola ended round two as the winner.

Setting the fastest time on laps three and four, McCanney improved on his previous day’s result of third to end round two as runner-up to Seistola, while also claiming the overall victory for the weekend. Chasing McCanney home for third, round one winner Bolter completed the top three to leave Chavenage Farm as the championship leader. With Lewis finishing fourth, Lee Edmondson (Honda) rounded out the top five.

Under 23
In the Under 23 category, Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland delivered a dominant display of riding to secure a terrific double win. Setting the fastest time in all of the day’s eight special tests, Rowland comfortably topped round one. Behind him, Scot Neil Chatham (KTM) fended off a tough challenge from TM’s James Dent to claim the runner-up position. With Dent finishing third, Yamaha’s Ryan McLean and Frazer Flockhart (KTM) completed the top five.

At round two Rowland was again the class leader and easily took the U23 class win. Showing great form in his first outing at the BSEC, Husqvarna’s Adam Reynolds finished as runner-up to Rowland. Improving on his fifth place result from round one, Flockhart ended his day in third. Dent slipped back to fourth position with Chatham completing the top five.

Under 19
The Under 19 class witnessed two different winners at Chavenage Farm. Setting times that would have seen him place inside the top ten of the overall classification, Kawasaki’s Joe Wootton secured a massive four-minute margin of victory over TM’s Josh Gotts. With Gotts second, Scott Altass (KTM) held off Andrew Bull (KTM) to place third. With Bull ending his day in fourth position, Harvey Dark (KTM) completed the top five.

Determined to repeat his winning result from round one, Wootton led early during round two until disaster struck on lap five. Loosing over six minutes following a crash, the Kawasaki rider dropped back to an eventual 11th place result. With Wootton out of contention, Husqvarna’s Rob Johnson took control of the race led and secured the win. Finishing 36 seconds behind Johnson, Gotts claimed his second runner-up result of the weekend. Bull recorded his first podium result of the series with third place while Altass and Dark rounded out the top five.

125cc Youth Cup
In the highly competitive 125 Youth Cup class, KTM’s Brad Freeman recorded two very convincing wins. Setting a pace that his rivals struggled to match, Freeman easily topped round one by almost three minutes. Husaberg’s Lee Sealey followed him home for second position with Jack Staines (KTM) placing third. Jon Hunt (Husqvarna) narrowly beat fifth placed Charlie Frost (KTM) to end his day in fourth.

At round two, Freeman once again topped the 125 Youth Cup standings though this time Sealey closed the gap to finish within one-minute of the KTM rider in second position. Staines claimed another top three result with third while Hunt and Frost rounded out the top five.

Expert & Expert Vet
In the hotly contested Expert class Kawasaki mounted Brad King topped the standings at round one. Placing just 20 seconds behind King, Sherco’s Scott Austin was second with Charlie Evans (KTM) in third. Richard Ely (KTM) and Max Hembroke (KTM) completed the top five.
At round two Ely was the rider to beat and took the Expert class win. With King finishing as runner-up to Ely, Hemborke placed third. KTM’s Dan Beaven improved to fourth position while Austin dropped back to fifth.

In the Expert Vets category, TM’s Carl Tiley secured the overall win. KTM’s Andrew Reeves finished second overall with Geoff Walker (Husaberg) completing the top three.

Clubman & Clubman Vets
Peter King (TM) claimed the Clubman Vet class win at round one with Darren Jones (KTM) and Dai Beer (KTM) completing the top three. Tim Cotton (Husaberg) was the winner at round two with King and Jones finishing in second and third place respectively.

In the strongly supported Clubman class, Beta’s Lee Green beat Richard Holmes (KTM) and Chris Bennetto (KTM) to win round one. With Green topping the standings at round two Mark Denslow (KTM) Holmes competed the top three.

Women
Katie Walker (KTM) secured two convincing wins in the Women’s class. Behind her Hannah Styles (Husaberg) finished second at both rounds while Liz Childerley (KTM) completed the top three.

The Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship continues with round three in Saints Well, Mid Wales on May 26.

It’s all systems go for the 2013 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship, which kicks off this weekend at the picturesque Chavenage Farm venue in Gloucestershire…

Attracting an impressive line-up of national and international talent, the Elite class is once again hotly contested. As the defending champion, Electraction TM’s Jordan Rose will lead the charge at Chavenage but with a stacked entry he’ll face a tough title fight if he wishes to retain his #1 status.

Following his sensational double win at the final rounds of the 2012 BSEC series at Canada Heights, Finland’s Matti Seistola (Husqvarna) joins the championship as one of the leading favourites for Elite class glory. Seistola, who will be supported by Freestyle Husqvarna, currently sits third overall in the Enduro 1 World Championship standings and will be keen to use that momentum to ensure a winning start to his BSEC campaign.

Committing to the 2013 series, former champion Tom Sagar (Colwyn Bay KTM UK) will be a formidable opponent to both Rose and Seistola – not only at Chavenage Farm but throughout the series. Fresh from his dominant victory at the opening round of the British Enduro Championship in Scotland, Sagar is hungry to win this weekend.

As the 2012 series runner-up, former MXGP rider, Tom Church (Husaberg) was one of last year’s standout performers. Improving in both speed and experience, Church quickly became a regular podium contender. Now with a full season of competition behind him and partnered with Midwest Husaberg, Church has his sights set on reaching the top step of the podium in 2013.

After a slow start to his 2012 season, Crescent KTM’s Darryl Bolter came on strong as the series passed the halfway point. Eager to make a stronger start to his new season, expect Bolter to come out fighting for a podium result this weekend.

Add in a whole host of British talent including the Edmondson Racing Honda duo of Jamie Lewis and Lee Edmondson, Mark Roberts (Electraction TM), Ryan Voase (Kawasaki), Scotland’s Ricky Mair (KTM) and not forgetting Elite class rookie Jamie McCanney (Husaberg) – the current leader of the Enduro Youth Cup World Championship – the stage is set for a thrilling start to the BSEC season.

In the Under 23 category, MPS Racing Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland enters Chavenage Farm as firm favourite for top honours. The 2012 European Enduro Champion was forced to play second fiddle to last season’s leading trio of Danny McCanney, Jonny Walker and Alex Rockwell. But with those three moving on, Rowland is more determined than ever to establish himself as the champion elect.

After a 100 per cent winning record in the Under 19 category in 2012, Crescent KTM’s Steve Holcombe moves into the U23 class for 2013 but is unable to cmpete this weekend due to a recent shoulder injury. Runner-up to Holcombe in 2012, TM’s James Dent also switches to the U23 class for 2013 and will be keen to establish himself as a serious podium contender. Add in Scotland’s Frazer Flockhart (KTM) and Frazier Norrie (KTM), Husaberg’s Aaron Smith, Max Varney (Yamaha) and Andrew Noakley (KTM) and the battle for a top five result with be as fierce as ever.

Ending the 2012 season third overall in the Under 19 class, MPS Racing’s Robert Johnson has his sights set on winning this year. Fast and extremely consistent, the Husqvarna rider is solely focused on winning this weekend. But with CTR TM’s Josh Gotts and Kawasaki’s Joe Wootton, along with Scott Altass (KTM), Luke Flack (KTM) and Luke Gorse (KTM) all in the mix, winning won’t come easy.

As the defending champion, Brad Freeman (KTM) leads the charge of the 125 Youth Cup riders. Claiming four victories in 2012, Freeman will be keen to add to that tally in 2013, though Jon Hunt (Husqvarna), Lee Sealey (Husaberg), Jordan Ridgway (KTM) and Charlie Frost (KTM) all have their sights set on podium results.

As one of the largest classes of 2013, the Expert category is also one of the toughest to predict. Can the 2012 champion Richard Ely (KTM) get his season off to a winning start or will Tyson Maytom Jones (Husaberg), Brad King (Kawasaki), Steve Hunt (KTM), Dan Beaven (KTM), Gethin Francombe (TM), Jamie Paget (Husaberg) or Jack Lee (Gas Gas) beat him to it?

Securing a maximum of 10 wins from 10 starts, Jane Daniels (Midwest Husaberg) dominated the Women’s class in 2012. But forced to start her title defence with a recent injury, Katie Walker (KTM), Hanna Styles (Husaberg) and Liz Childerley (Husaberg) are hoping to capitalise on Daniel’s misfortune and take a surprise win.

With a bumper entry list of riders plus additional two new classes for 2013 – Expert Veterans and Clubman Veterans – along with the strongly supported Clubman class, the opening rounds of the 2013 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship are set for an explosive start in Chavenage Farm, Gloucester.

The opening round of the 2013 FIM Enduro World Championship saw three Husqvarna Racing Team by CH Racing squad members place on the podium during the two-day event in Talca, with eight-time world champion Juha Salminen claiming the team’s best result. Returning to the Enduro 1 class for 2013, Salminen claimed a solid runner-up result on day one, shadowed on the podium by countryman Matti Seistola in third. Australian youngster Matt Phillips battled his way though his first ever EWC event successfully, claiming a well deserved third place result on day two in the Enduro Junior class.

The highly anticipated championship opener proved to be a tough one for all competitors, and every bit as dry and dusty as it was 12 months ago. Like last year’s event it was the enduro test that decided the results in many classes, where a technical uphill climb proved troublesome for numerous riders. A high-speed motocross test and a forest based extreme test completed the challenging mix of special tests in Chile.

Making a strong start to the event Salminen’s runner-up performance on day one was the result of impressive riding on all three of the event’s special tests. Close to eventual class winner Antoine Meo throughout the opening stages of the race, Juha was unable to maintain his speed during the third and final lap but nevertheless topped three of the day’s special tests, including the final extreme test. Day two saw the Finn produce a strong opening lap, but catching a rider in the long and dusty enduro test on lap two cost him valuable time. A further mistake on the technical uphill on the third lap cost Juha more time, going on to end his day fifth.

Matti Seistola showed impressive speed throughout the event, finishing on the podium alongside Salminen on day one in third. Feeling confident on the often unforgiving terrain, Matti enjoyed a largely mistake free day with the few mistakes he did make costing him relatively little time. Starting well on day two Seistola won three of the opening four special tests, putting himself in a strong position to challenge for another podium result. But on the final lap a mistake on the enduro test cost Matti precious time and he ended the day fourth, just two seconds off the podium.

In the Enduro 2 class Lorenzo Santolino endured a tough two days, placing eighth on day one and ninth on day two. Struggling to get to grips with the terrain Santolino’s best performance came on the enduro test on both days.

Thrilled to have placed on the podium in his first ever Enduro World Championship event Australian Matt Phillips battled his way through a tough opening day at the rear of the Enduro Junior class to then claim an impressive third on day two. As a newcomer to both the class and championship, Phillips took a tough opening day in his stride before going on to place as the third fastest rider in class on five of the second day’s nine special tests.

The Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing now head to Argentina for round two of the series on March 23/24.

Juha Salminen (Enduro 1 – TE250): “The first day went pretty well for me. I wasn’t quite as aggressive as I should have been in the afternoon – I don’t know why but I was a little sleepy feeling. Not tired, just sleepy. But I still got second so that was pretty good. I started day two well, with a good opening lap but on the second lap I got stuck in another rider’s dust. I was behind him for half the test and I lost a lot of time. There was nothing I could do, some times I even had to stop and wait for the dust to clear. I also had some troubles with the difficult uphill on the enduro test on the last lap. It’s not the best start to the season, but generally things have been good.”

Matti Seistola (Enduro 1 – TE 250): “I felt really good on the first day, and was able to push pretty hard because I was feeling confident. I made a few small mistakes, which cost me a few seconds each time, but generally I was pleased to be on the podium and that my test times were good. I felt good again at the start of the second day. For the first and second laps I didn’t have any problems but on the last lap I got stuck on the difficult uphill in the enduro test. It was so dusty I couldn’t see very well and then got stuck on a rut full of powder. I could have certainly finished on the podium again, so it’ s disappointing that I didn’t. But knowing my speed is good, and that I was on the podium on day one, is a great start to the championship.”

Lorenzo Santolino (Enduro 2 – TE 310): “”It’s not been such a good weekend for me, I certainly hope to do better in Argentina. I made some improvements during the two days, and had a much better feeling at the end of the second day. It was a tough race, and the enduro test was especially difficult. I didn’t have any problems on the big hill that a lot of riders had problems on but I found the many chambers hard.”

Matt Phillips (Enduro Junior – TE 310): “Everything’s been new for me this weekend. Even communicating with the guys was a little strange to start with, but as the weekend’s progressed things have got better ad better. The first day was tough as I was riding at the back of the Enduro Junior class, which meant I was always riding in dust. But I had some good tests and enjoyed it. Day two went better but I struggled on the enduro test. I’ve not done much racing in these kinds of conditions, so I was learning all the time. It’s been a lot tougher than I was expecting. It’s great to get the first event under my belt and had a great time. It’s been a tough but enjoyable first world championship race for me.”

The 2013 Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing squad is ready for the start of the Enduro World Championship, which begins this weekend in Talca, Chile. Following a five-month break since the closing round of the 2012 series, the team, once again lead by eight-time world champion Juha Salminen, will be a four-rider effort, with riders in the Enduro 1, Enduro 2, and Enduro Junior classes.

Juha Salminen will join Matti Seistola for the coming season in the Enduro 1 class, forming Husqvarna’s two-pronged Finnish attack. Following a hard fought challenge for Enduro 2 title in 2012, Salminen returns to one of his favoured categories for 2013. As the 2011 Enduro 1 World Champion, the now eight-time world champ is hoping to add yet another title to his already impressive plethora of EWC #1 plates. During his visit to South America last year, the Juha secured two impressive victories. Clearly enjoying the unique and varied terrain that the GPs of Chile and Argentina offer, Salminen will be eager to use his past experience to his advantage, and do all he can to deliver a winning start to his season.
Last year was a difficult time for Seistola. Failing to find the winning form he is capable of, the Finn struggled during the early part of the season. But after some intensive testing, Seistola soon found his form and began to challenge for both podium results and race wins. With a four-month winter break to prepare for the new season Seistola is focused on getting his 2013 EWC championship campaign off to a strong start.

Spain’s Lorenzo Santolino will fly the flag for Husqvarna in the Enduro 2 class as the former Enduro Junior World Champion starts his second year in the senior ranks. Looking to challenge the many top-flight competitors in the ultra-competitive Enduro 2 class, Lorenzo will also be focused on defending his E1 Spanish Enduro Championship title.
Australian Matt Phillips – one of the stand out performers at the International Six Days Enduro in both 2012 and 2011 – joins the Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing for an assault on the Enduro Junior World Championship. Despite his EWC rookie status, Phillips will undoubtedly be an exciting addition to both the Husqvarna team, as well as the world championship. Using 2013 as a learning year as the young Aussie adapts to the demands of the EWC, Phillips also hopes to end the year with a top-three championship result.

The 2013 Enduro World Championship starts this weekend, March 16/17 March, in Talca, Chile.

Fabrizio Azzalin – Team Manager: “The start of the 2013 Enduro World Championship is a race that the team has been looking forward to for a long time. We have new riders, riders in new classes, and very motivated riders. Last year no one knew what to expect from the races in Chile and Argentina, this year we are very well prepared and all team riders are looking forward to the start of the series. We have four official riders this year.

“In the Enduro 1 class we have the two Finnish riders Juha Salminen and Matti Seistola. Juha returns to the Enduro 1 class, where we won the title the last time he raced in the class. Juha showed in 2011 that he is extremely fast on the TE250, so we hope that this year he will fight for the title. Matti had a difficult season last year, only showing his true potential on a few occasions. He’s been working hard in the last few months, so he is also looking for a good year.

“In the Enduro 2 class we have Lorenzo Santolino. We want Lorenzo to steadily improve his performances, and hopefully reach the podium on occasions. He is in a very competitive class, but we believe he will rise to the challenge ahead. We return to the Enduro Junior class in 2013, with Australian rider Matt Phillips. 2013 will be a learning year for Matt, but in the last two ISDE races he has shown that he is very fast. We believe he can fight for the EJ title but he has to learn and adjust to the EWC style of racing. It’s going to be an exciting season for the Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing.”

GMC Events, organisers of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship, have today released finalised venue information for the 2013 series, which starts on April 5/6. Mixing both two and one-day events the series heads from Gloucester to Mid Wales, then to Monmouth, before moving north towards Sheffield and then concluding close to Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The opening two rounds of the series will take place at the popular Chavenage Farm venue, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Home to the opening round of the 2010 series, the return to what has proved to be one of the most popular circuits the championship has used is sure to please many.

Next up the series heads to Mid Wales in late May, to the Saints Well venue for round three. Farmland based, but with added variety offered by both a motocross track and a small extreme area, the championship then jumps to Monmouthshire.

Rounds four and five, in early July, will see the series return to the picturesque Llangrove farm – a venue that’s been a part of the BSEC series for the past two years. Fast and flowing, with a motocross track and technical wood sections, the venue on the England/Wales boarder will mark the passing of the half way point of the championship.
Travelling further north than ever before the BSEC series touches down close to Sheffield at the start of August for round six, and the popular West Wood venue. With the majority of the circuit tree covered the terrain will offer many new and exciting challenges.

Finally, on the weekend of August 31/September 1, the championship will conclude at Chacombe, close to Banbury. Continuing with another all-natural farmland venue competitors will experience numerous grass tracks and woodland areas – a thoroughly enjoyable course to bring the series to a close.

For 2013 the BSEC series will feature nine classes, with Clubman Vets and Expert Vets added to the already established Elite, Expert, Clubman, Under 23, Under 19, 125cc Youth Cup and Woman’s classes.
Entry information will be released soon.
